PROTECTYOURINVESTMENT!CongratulationsonyournewWetEdgefinish!Thebettercareyoutakeofthepoolsurfaceduringthefirst28daysthebetteritwillperformoveritslifetime.YourpoolfinishwilllookandfeelhardtothetouchonDay1but,inrealityitwilltakethecementinyourpoolfinishatleast28daystohydrateandcure.Duringhydration/curing,calciumsilicatehydrate(CSH)gelformsandmakesthe“glue”thatenablethecementtoharden.CSHbindsalloftheingredientstogether,greatlyincreasingitsstrength,watertightnessandservicelife.Thefinishismorevulnerabletostaining,scaling,discolorationandspidercrackingduringthefirst28days.Allowingthecementthenecessarytimetostrengthenbykeepingthewaterbalancedinanunaggressiveenvironmentwithaconsistentregimentofbrushingisthekeytoprotectingyourinvestment.

• PrimeraStoneisa2-dayprocess.Iftheweatheriscoldthecrewmaywaituntilday3topolish.
• LunaQuartzisa1or2dayprocess.SomeinstallersprefertoexposethefinishonDay1whileotherswillwaituntilDay2.
• Altimaisa1-dayprocess.FILLINGTHEPOOLWITHWATER
• Thecrewwillbeginfillingthepoolattheappropriatetime.Somecrewswillfillthespafirstifthereisonlyonehose.Donotletthewaterspilloverandrundownthepoolwall.
• Toavoiddamagingthepoolfinishfromfirehydrantsortruckedinwaterfirstfillthepoolwithaminimumof2feetofwaterinthedeependofthepool.
• Stopfillingthepoolwhenthewaterlevelistothemiddleoftheskimmer.Stoppingthewaterpriortoreachingthispointcouldcauseapermanentwaterringtoformonthepoolfinish.
• Whenthepooliscompletelyfullthefiltrationequipmentshouldbestartedassoonaspossible.
