Our rating & descriptionIt is situated on the shore of the Arno River, in the heart of the Florentine

countryside, just 8 km from the Florence old town.

The noble Florentine Landini built the Villa Medici Renaissance, in the

sixteenth century; successful publishers who made it their residence.

In 1998 Villa d’Este S.p.A. bought the entire ownership, restructuring ac-

cording to the original Tuscan and Florentine style. The know-how man-

agement of the Villa, it is famous worldwide, the quality of its service,

are making it one of the best hotels in Italy.

The villa is characterized by 9 acres of gardens that surround it entirely,

which are full of paths that lead to the Arno River and from where you

can enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Chianti hills and of Rufina.

AccomodationsThe 37 rooms (doubles, junior suites and suites) are distributed in the

three villas. They offer a superb views of the Tuscan countryside or of

the river Arno. All the rooms have been restored respecting the tradition

patrician, furnished with antique furniture and fabrics coming from his-

toric Florentine textile mills. They are equipped with modern comforts

such as air conditioning, telephone, LCD satellite TV, Wi-Fi, safe and

minibar. The bathrooms are made out prestigious marble.

A beautiful Presidential Suite it has two bedrooms, a living room with

fireplace and a private garden of 270 square meters and a 180 ° view of

the surrounding countryside.

WeddingsThe Villa is the perfect venue for weddings and banquets up to 100 peo-

ple, organized on the terrace by the pool or in the “limonaia” hall…

atmosphere of great charm is guaranteed.

A small-consecrated chapel with sacristy dating back to nineteenth

century can accommodate up to a maximum of twenty-five people.

You can also to rent the hotel in exclusive use.

FacilitiesThe Villa has a fully equipped fitness center and a spa room for facials,

massages, and body treatments, made with chocolate or truffles, as

well as the practice of wine therapy.

Furthermore, available to customers: outdoor heated pool (May to Sep-

tember), mountain biking, jogging trail, Tennis Club “Match-Ball”, with

16 sand courts and synthetic only 500 m. (free for guests) Horse riding

at 1 km away and Golf Club “Ugolino” (18 holes) is only 9.5 km (special

rates for hotel guests).

The elegant hotel restaurant has a traditional Italian and Tuscan cui-

sine. In summer, meals are served on the romantic terrace near the wa-

ter. The charming rooms with large windows are offering their guests a

great views.

The Pool Bar serves quick meals, the service is always impeccable.

Aperitifs and cocktails in Bar Medicia space rich in frescoes early

nineteenth century, it offers a valuable selection of spirits. In the Wine

cellar of the XIV century there are four hundred labels for the pleasure

of tasting some of them with the sommelier. You will enjoy a walk in

the ‘Garden” to collect the products to be used in the cooking classes.

What a great mix between Tuscan specialties and romance, this place

is a dream.
