Warming Up
A good way to prepare yourself for skating is to make a common practice of marching. When you pick up one foot after the other like you're marching, this should help you be able to slowly gain confidence and balance.
Report• Joseph Merlin introduced the first
patented roller skate in 1760. • In 1863, James Plimpton, a
businessman from Massachusetts invented a roller skate that could actually turn and make curves.
Goals and Objectives-The goals and objectives for skating
is mainly to do what you please. -There are no limitations.
-To complete difficult creative tricks is the major objective.
-It is a unique activity where you can try new things without any rules.
Fitting into age groups• Skating can fit for all age groups. • Once a child reaches the age to
where they can balance themselves and handle the jobs carried when skating.
Suggested Grade Level
Skating shoes come in all sizes therefore it is suggested for all grades between 1st grade through 12th or even after high school to become a professional.
Game Variations• Practice your tricks with some friends.• You can compete in ways of who can complete a
task the fastest.• Go against skaters who are more experienced than
you are that way it can be fun as in a game yet you learn how you can improve.
