which has the potential to transform ourindustry and bring table gaming back tothe forefront of casino entertainment.”

JACKPOT’S QUANTUM LEAPIn 2014, Jackpot Digital launched a newera of growth by signing an agreement with Carnival Cruise Lines to deploy theirsuite of HTML5-based mobile games onCarnival’s ships. Carnival’s Mobile Casinoprovides a host of best-in-class poker, slot, and table-game content for their guests toplay while in international waters. Jackpot’spoker and casino games quickly foundtheir place amongst Carnival’s top earninggames. This was a huge development forthe company, generating new revenueand opening Kalpakian’s eyes to potentialsynergy with an ETG product fromPokerTek, Inc. that was also showcased onCarnival ships.

Kalpakian, a veteran of the gamingindustry, saw the potential of ETGsto transform traditional table gamingthrough new technologies and expandedgame offerings. So, in 2015, Jackpotpurchased PokerTek’s assets with the goalof developing the next generation of ETGs.Since the 2015 acquisition, Jackpot Digitalhas operated more than 100 PokerPro andProCore ETG units in casino locationsworldwide, including on more than 75ships in the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet.

In a July 2015 company press release,Kalpakian stated that the PokerTekacquisition would allow the company to“build unique features and products thatsynergize between the electronic tables and mobile games, leading to a superioruser experience and ultimately increasedrevenues for the Company.” He followedthis up by initiating the development of amulti-functional ETG system to deliverthe most technologically advanced socialgaming experience on the market.

After nearly two years of research anddevelopment, Jackpot Digital will belaunching their next generation ETGproduct, Jackpot Blitz™, at the 2017Canadian Gaming Summit in Vancouver.Jackpot Blitz™ is a unique and revolutionarynew ETG platform that combines thesocial aspects of live table gaming with themost advanced technology on the market.

“The ETG market is rapidly changing, and Jackpot Blitz™ represents theevolution of electronic table games,” saysKalpakian. “Our product features best inclass technology and innovative features,

making it a must-have for traditional andelectronic gaming operators worldwideno matter the size of their operation. Ourproduct makes table game operationsfaster, more efficient, more fun, and moreprofitable.”

TECHNOLOGY LEADING GROWTH“Historically, innovation and technologyhave been the catalyst for change in thegaming industry,” says Kalpakian. “Whileslot machines were the new rage in the70s and 80s, today’s gaming industry isdriven by the need to use new technologyto draw Millennials into casinos. JackpotBlitz™ combines the most advancedtechnology with traditional casino gamesto provide fast-paced and innovative socialentertainment.”

The company has designed JackpotBlitz™ to be the most advanced and flexibleETG product on the market; its adaptablesoftware interface allows a single Blitz tableto play poker (Texas Hold’em, Omaha, andvideo poker), blackjack, baccarat, roulette, and other casino games. Blitz tables feature10 player seats and a modular design thatallows multiple house banked games tobe played simultaneously on a single Blitztable – five players can play Hold’em whilethe other five play blackjack. The ETG platform will also feature mini-games,where players can play a hand or two ofblackjack against the house while they waitfor their next hand to be dealt in a ringgame or tournament.

Jackpot Blitz™ also features a massive84-inch, 4K resolution touchscreen withmore than 100 sensitive touchpoints to perfectly replicate a traditional live tablegaming experience. This state-of-the-arttouchscreen led to the development ofgesture-based gameplay, in which playersuse traditional poker hand gestures (e.g.cupping your hands around your cards, tapping the table to check) to control theJackpot Blitz™ touchscreen and direct theirgameplay.

EFFICIENCY LEADS TO PROFITABILITYToday’s casino operators are looking to

reduce costs while increasing efficiencyand profits. ETGs eliminate the dealer, providing secure operations, fast-paced gameplay and profits at a fraction of theoperational cost of traditional live table games.

Jackpot’s comprehensive back-endmanagement system on Jackpot Blitz™allows operators full access to a securemobile application for table, tournament, and customer management from anydesktop computer or tablet. This systemalso provides operators with real-timereporting on metrics related to gameplay, financial performance, and customeranalytics. Each Blitz table also comes withan electronic player kiosk to automateplayer deposits, payouts, and registration, eliminating the need for a cashier.

Kalpakian views Jackpot Blitz™ as thelink between past and present, tradition andtechnology. “In the past few years, therehas been a general trend across the industryto remove table games in favour of slot machines. Slots have proven to be easierto operate, more profitable per square foot, and they give real-time information oncustomers and their gaming preferences.Jackpot Blitz™ has the potential to reversethat trend – it provides the technologicaladvantages afforded by slot machines andthe social atmosphere of traditional tablegames.”

POISED FOR GROWTHThe company is rolling out the first JackpotBlitz™ units with Carnival Cruise Lines inQ2 of 2017 and intends to have the productready for deployment in regulated marketsin Q4 of 2017.

Kalpakian sees huge potential in theproduct and is targeting a rapid deploymentto brick-and-mortar casinos in 2018.

“We have had fantastic feedback fromcurrent and prospective customers aboutJackpot Blitz™ and are working on somebig agreements in Canada and the USAin the near future. We can’t wait to launchour product at the 2017 Canadian GamingSummit, it is going to be thrilling to seegaming operators from across Canadaplaying on our new table and hearing theirfeedback. This is the culmination of yearsof hard work, and it is a very exciting timefor our company.”
