A Reading from the Book of Genesis

Page 3: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Yahweh God said:

It is not good for man to be alone.

I will make for him a suitable

helper.

Page 4: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Then Yahweh God formed from the earth all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the

air,

Page 5: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

and He brought them to Man to see what he would call them and whatever

Man called every living creature,

that was its name.

Page 6: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

So Man gave names to all the cattle, the birds of

the air and to every beast ofthe field but there was

not a helper suitable for Man and like

him among them.

Page 7: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Then Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to

come over Man and

he fell asleep. And while he slept, God took one of his ribs

and filled its place with flesh.

Page 8: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

And Yahweh God formed from the rib which He had

taken from Man, a woman

and He brought her to the man.

Page 9: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Then Man said: “Now, this is bone of my bones

and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called

woman for she was taken out of man.”

Page 10: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

That is whyman leaveshis father

and mother and is attached to his wife and they become

one body.

A Reading from the Letter to the Jews.

Page 27: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Brothers and sisters, He who for a little while was placed lower than

the angels,

Page 28: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Jesus, Who we now see crowned in Glory

and Honour,

Page 29: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

because of the death He suffered,

Page 30: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

experienced death on behalf of

everyone, for the good of all and this through the

Grace of God.

Page 31: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

For it was fitting that He, from Whom all things come and

through Whom all things exist,

Page 32: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

desired that in bringing many children to glory,

Page 33: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

should make the

Author of their Salvation

perfect through

suffering.

Page 34: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

For the One Who Sanctifies and the

sanctified all have the same One Origin.

Page 35: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

This is why He is not ashamed to call them His brothers and sisters.

Page 36: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

The Word of God!

Thanks be to God!

A Reading from the Gospel of St.Mark

Page 41: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Then some Pharasees approached Jesus and to test Him they asked:“Is it lawful

for a husband to divorce his wife?”

Page 42: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Jesus answered them saying:

“What command did Moses give

you?”They replied:

“Moses allowed a husband to write a bill of divorce and dismiss his wife.”

Page 43: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Then Jesus answered:

“It was because of your hardness of

heart and stubbornness that

Moses wrote you this command!

Page 44: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

But“from the beginning of creation God made them male

and female.

Page 45: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

And it is for this reason that a man leaves his father and

mother and is joined

to his wife

Page 46: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

and the two become one body.”

Page 47: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

So they are no longer two but one

body.

Page 48: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Therefore, what God has put together, let no man bring

apart.”

Page 49: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

When they were

indoors, the disciples

again questioned Jesus about

this and Jesus said:

Page 50: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

“Whoever leaves his wife and marries another is guilty of adultery against his

wife

Page 51: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

and if a woman leaves her husband

and marries another, she

too is guilty of adultery.”

Page 52: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Then the people brought to Him children that Hemay touch and

bless them, but the disciples

rebuked them and sent

them away.

Page 53: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

“Let the little

children come to Me and do not stop them

Jesus, upon seeing this, became very angry and

said:

Page 54: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

for the kingdomof God belongs

to such as these!

Page 55: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Truly I tell you, whoever does not

receive the Kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it!”

Page 56: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

Then he took the children in His arms,

embraced them and laying His Hands on them He blessed them.

Page 57: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

The Word of God!

Praised Be Christ!

Page 58: 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time Cycle B

“Let the little children come to Me and do not stop them

for the Kingdom of God belongs

to them!”

Jesus said:
