Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Shalom!

We are in the season of Lent focusing our relationship with God. Following Christ is sometimes instantaneous and sometimes it is gradual and most of the times it is casual. We have our own terms and conditions like this rich young ruler. He came, he met and he went away his way…! Prov. 14:12 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

Yes, there is a great fact that there was a time when we have passed from death unto life; that there was a time when we were born into the kingdom of God. Yes, there was a time when our name was written in the Book of Life. Yes, we were lost, and have been found by the Lord.

It is the fact that when our life begins to rise; the dead soul within us begins to live. That is the power of God’s saving grace. But to possess that we have to forsake our way and walk in His way which has been made straight for us….

We incur or undergo so many types of losses in our lives but the worst one is – loss of ourselves. Luke 9:25 - For how would a man benefit to gain the whole world but destroy his soul or lose it?” ... if he gains the whole world, having destroyed himself or having suffered the loss of himself? ... Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul. This is an important question that scripture throws at us…Why we lose our soul – that is because the way we have chosen. God saved us in Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation given to us by Christ not because of the deeds that we have done but because He loved us so much and wanted us to inherit His kingdom. People are saved not by following a set of rules or doctrines but by faith in Jesus Christ. John Wesley, the founder of Methodism talks about faith of adherence and faith of assurance. A man may be true child of God and certainly saved but one should have the assurance of faith, which is the main subject of salvation.

the sinner by the Spirit and Word of God, and by this, one hopes for salvation though he has no certainty. He trusts, hopes, build up spiritual relationship or attachment….etc. But the he faith of assurance is that whereby a man knows all this to be true in his own case. Wesley clearly distinguishes between the faith that saves and the faith that sanctifies. Holy Spirit witnesses with human spirit that he is a child of God, giving childlike confidence in him.

Many of the Christians today have the faith of adherence not the faith of assurance in attaining the salvation. Both are important and that is the deepness of salvation. John Wesley further says; The marrow of the Bible is in two little words – ‘faith’ and ‘Salvation’. In his sermon called “Scriptural way of Salvation” he says, ‘It is not the soul that is going to paradise; it is not other side of the death. It is not something at a distance, but it is a present thing. One can experience that from the first dawning of grace in the soul at the moment s/he believed and it is consummated in glory’.

May the good Lord speak to us as we meditate upon the theme, ‘Salvation; A gift for the guilty’. Let there be joy of salvation restored and maintained as we go through this blessed season of Lent.

Mark 11:24Praise and thank God Almighty for all the activities held in the month of February. We thank God for all the resource persons/preachers and people who prayerfully participated.

Praise God for all His blessings upon each one of us and also praise God for His protection and continuous guidance to us in our responsibilities.

Pray for the members of our church and loved ones who are going through a time of pain and sickness. Remember Dr. Mercy, Mr. Vasanth, and Mr. John in your prayers. Pray that may the Lord strengthen them and bless them with good health. May life and wellness grow in fullness until it overflows.

Let us continue to pray for the ministry of the wings of the church. Keep our Episcopal Leaders Bishop N.L. Karkare, Mrs. Kamal Karkare and their leadership to the conference in your prayers. Pray for the pastors and their families as they serve God at IMC. Keep all the families of the church in your prayer.

Pray for the active participation of our congregation in prayer time, home fellowship meetings and other activities of the church. Pray for area wise leaders and Chair persons of all the standing and special committees of the pastorate.

Pray for needs of the church: outreach work, renewal of our commitment to the Lord, individual spiritual growth and special activities/preachers/resource persons of the month.

The Blood of Jesus washes away our past and the Name of Jesus opens up

Janet was struggling with depression. One day the pain was great that she took out some medicine she had used earlier when she underwent surgery so that she will go to sleep for a while. Suddenly she felt guilty. As she was standing there looking at the medication praying to God crying and wondering if she could do that or not, the door bell rang. A boy was going around houses giving pamphlets which advertised of a new psychiatric clinic in the neighbourhood. Janet looked at it.

The questions caught her eye. “Are you depressed? Do you ever think about ending at all?” She called the doctor fixed an appointment and thus began her healing. Dear friends perhaps you too need healing. Only God knows the true nature of your pain. It may be physical, emotional, spiritual, mental or all of these. Do not be afraid to call upon God in your depression. When Janet called out to God. He came to her in the guises of a boy and showed her a skilled psychiatrist. God always sees depression. The Great Physician knows not only the extent of your pain but the exact remedy for it. He is waiting for the perfect time and perfect means to show beyond all doubt that He is the one who comes to your help with a healing that is whole and complete. So take heart God is still in the business of healing and saving the sick and the lost.

Twenty three years ago, there was a 45 day old baby lying in a very serious condition in the hospital. With the best of medical attention, the specialists of the medical field said, “This baby will not make it. He would die”. But, the same child to whom the doctors had once given a death sentence is the same one writing to you! Yes, that’s how my life began, proving that GOD can work beyond the laws of medical sciences. Ever since I was young, the LORD slowly and gradually started working in and through me in subtle ways. There were so many incidents in which I saw the LORD`s hand of protection from the schemes of the enemy like, keeping us unharmed in the midst of a riot with masked gunmen in Srinagar, Kashmir to a miraculous escape from a car accident a year ago.

In November, 2010, when JESUS took me and showed me a glimpse of hell, it was an eye-opener and a burden arose to preach the gospel to the lost. Apart from that, I have had many encounters with the LORD with discussions with Himto first hand healings and miracles like the healing of my eye, prayed water turning into real blood, calling on the LORD and bringing down rain – twice- out of nowhere and causing the believers and non-believers to be amazed and to honour GOD! Apart from that, I have seen the power of GOD in front of my very eyes when demons ran out when I just said “JESUS.”There are so many instances when demonic forces have been brought to naught in a split second.

The LORD has taught me to be Spirit-led all the time. He always directs me in every step. Many times, He would tell me, “this person has --- problems; go tell them this” and it would be exact to its details. Likewise, I have seen the LORD teach, guide and fill me with a Word of Knowledge, Wisdom and Prophesy and confirming them. He has helped me this way many times for counselling, praying and in my general walk. He has led me through various dimensions in my spiritual walk and every single day holds some kind of a surprise from the LORD.

Through it all, the LORD has not only taught and moulded me; He has also helped me in successfully running my ministry for more than three years! It started small with so many people mocking, criticising and talking behind my back, but, today the LORD has raised the ministry to reachhundreds upon hundreds of people daily! He was true to His Word in helping me establish the ministry by expanding it through


regular services, events, YouTube and broadcasting, social media and so on. Inspite of being so timid, shy and reserved, GOD has helped me to speak His Word with authority in front of thousands of people at various occasions. Though I don’t seem to have what it takes, GOD has enabled me to reach out, teach and motivate multitudes – All glory to GOD!

The Apostle Paul said in 1 Cor 15:10, “I am what I am by the GRACE of GOD...”.This is indeed so true in my life! All Glory to GOD
