Party An Insight

Pakistan is rightly called as the dynamic democracy of Asia and the world. Two hundred and sixty six registered political parties with election commission of Pakistan claim taking active part in socio-economic development. Political and economic analysts have been questioning over mushroom growth of political parties in last five years but no concrete results in informed public opinion, economic indicators and advanced democratic development.

Lately former deputy information secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Adnan Randhawa has formed Aam Aadmi Party in Islamabad. What will be the fate of this infant party? It is a serious question for deliberation. A lot has been written on responsible and result-oriented democracy in more than 475 print publications of country. Now digital media has taken place of TV and print media in China and America.

Voters and educated youth of Pakistan have clearly voted for couple of leading parties on the basis of their manifesto and past performance. As a liberal country, we welcome Mr. Adnan and Aam Aadmi Party but they will have to do a lot to make distinctive mark in political arena of Pakistan. AAP must conduct countrywide membership campaign besides educating the voters for local and general elections. It must clearly define future political coalition and public relations partners.
