“ Move-around” activities – write-ups

During this section of the event attendees were invited to move around

different tables of activities, the findings of each table can be found

below.

1.Community ambassador activity

The Community Ambassador workshop consisted of groups drawing theiridea of the 'Most Healthy' stick person in the world. 4 groups worked onthis and almost all of the stick's were active, ate healthy food, hadfriends / pet etc. The groups were informed that their stick person wasnot so healthy after all as they had 'Hidden' health issues. This showedthat we can’t always tell if someone is healthy and so that's why we needthe Community Ambassadors to help people have the information to make

healthy choices in their lives. Then each Individual pulled a picture out of a box and said if the picture would help the stick man be healthy or not.

See pictures of the flip chart sticks below. The main outcome from theactivity was that the participants identified that we can’t tell if someone ishealthy and everyone needs information and help to make healthy

choices.

• Person making the biggest impact in their community

- Feel good award – how they make people feel

- How would the winners be chosen? – members to nominate and vote,

perhaps after a shortlist selected by an Awards Committee

- Not sure if we should have and Award – maybe just a celebration of all

members since it would be difficult to pick a select few for something

special

- Celebration – to celebrate the overall achievements of community

groups and individuals. Perhaps personalise in some way

- Combine an Award event with a Celebration
