Lon Brugh, husband of Gwen Brugh, cancer has returned.

Phil Greene, friend of Darren Stutts, has been diagnosed with prostate

cancer and will have surgery soon.

Page Herman, great-niece of Bob Lee, has bone marrow failure.

Jim Hill, brother-in-law of Nancy Koester, has Mesothelioma.

James Johnson, nephew of Nancy Koester, is recovering in rehab.

Chuck Lovejoy, brother of Kathy Myrick, remains on dialysis, but

recently found out he is cancer free.

Steve Marcenko, nephew of Helen Davis, has esophageal cancer.

Doug Matthews, father of Aaron Matthews, has pancreatic cancer.

Pauline Payne, grandmother of Jennifer Rogers, has returned to

Brookdale, but continues to be under hospice care.

Danny Ratliff, friend of Kathy Mills, lung cancer has spread and is

undergoing chemotherapy.

Bobby Shaw, father–in-law of Jami Shaw, has heart complications.

Frank Shepherd, friend of the Stutts family, has stage 4 stomach cancer.

Cami Smedly, friend of Juan Luis-Jorge, has a severe head trauma.

Elizabeth Schwake, great-niece of Nancy Benford, is expecting twins.

Bob Tyer, friend of Darrell Pratt, is has congestive heart failure.

Jan Tyer, friend of Darrell Pratt, is suffering from cancer.

Laura Weimer, neighbor of the Burroughs family, has breast cancer.

Tina Whitley, daughter of Linda Meadows, recently had brain surgery.

Prayer Requests

A Horse Named Buddy…………………………………………...Glenn Hitchcock

An out-of-towner drove his car into a ditch in a desolated area. Luckily, a local

farmer came to help with his big strong horse named Buddy. He hitched Buddy up to the

car and yelled, “Pull, Nellie, pull!” Buddy didn’t move. Then the farmer hollered, “Pull,

Buster, pull!” Buddy didn’t respond. Once more the farmer commanded, “Pull, Coco,

pull!” nothing. Then the farmer nonchalantly said, “Pull, Buddy, pull!” And the horse

easily dragged the car out of the ditch. The motorist was most appreciative and very

curious. He asked the farmer why he called his horse by the wrong name three times.

The farmer said, “Oh, Buddy is blind, and if he thought he was the only one pulling, he

wouldn’t even try!”

There are things that I can’t always see or understand, but when I am called by my

Master, I’ll move every time. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7).

program, please let your secret sister

signing your last gift, or delivering the

gift to them in person.

There will be a congregational ice cream

social July 3 after evening service. If

you have an ice cream maker please

bring it, and Les Michael know.

The Raintree Village food truck will be

here July 11-12 to collect donations. A

list of needed items is on the

information desk. Please turn in your

donations by Sunday, July 10.

Bible Bowl is coming up Saturday, July

30. Registration forms are on the table in

the foyer. Please have these turned into

Andy McDonald by July 6.
