easily be managed duly integrated.8 Nature of this project is EPC, which involves complete basics & design engineering based on

indicated requirements. 9 It also, involves complete procurement, installation, erection, construction & testing

commissioning works.10 We as EPC contractor have to chart out overall designs/philosophies in terms of FEED (Front

end engineering designs)11 We EPC contractor have to chart out detailed engineering on all disciplines pertinent project

engineering.12 We EPC contractor have to go through approval processes respecting all engineering

deliverables.13 We EPC contractor have to then, start prosecuting construction on site of all components on

project covered within this contract.14 We EPC contractor shall be working on our project to deliver it based on following objective

principle.

Objective: Projects deliveries (all deliverables).1 What should we understand by profession of project management discipline? Applications of earned knowledge enriched with advanced skills, organization environmental factors & processes, tools & technique to deliver specific results or services to client or customer in line with project delivery (all deliverables) requirements through route of project management plan, execution & change controls, using leading & organizing potentials, all integrated with scope, quality, time, cost, risks, human resources, procurement, communication plans etc.

EPC 225 MW CCPP- Project Plansubmission to engineer for approval.

12 After, FEED document approval, detailed designs shall be commenced with area wise & all calculations used/drawings composed shall be charted out for submission in stages.

13 Priorities of designing activities shall base on site requirements/project priorities.14 Priority should be given first to produce all designs required for initial approval by engineer

for further submission to local authority or building permit authority, so that an earliest building permit is obtained.

15 Once building permit is indicated to have been approved, further detailed designing process shall continue.

16 Further designs activities include architectural detailed drawings, detailed elevations, sections, internal & external architecture etc. whatsoever, required for prosecution objective shall follow with

17 Structural designs shall follow architectural designs & many times coordinated for correct interfaces as well as, to avoid clashes.

18 Services works shall also, be simultaneously, designed & drawn, so that area wise package sets are submitted for engineer’s approvals.

19 Once, drawings are commented back by engineer, revision shall be submitted by incorporating comments, if so justified & valid on contract provisions.

20 After having obtained all such drawings approved, Master copy shall be retained, while further copies duly sealed as ‘Approved for Construction’ should be issued to site document controls

21 Documents, such as AFC, project specifications, shop & working drawings, fabrication drawings after having achieved approved status shall be in sequence, issued to site DCC.

22 Based on contract included indicative specifications, discipline design engineers shall specify detailed project specifications pertinent all significant activities particularly, required for project.

23 All such discipline projects specifications shall be explicit without any ambiguity. 24 Undue references shall not be included to mix up engineers on site.25 Designer/s should include only, required information for site use & avoid referring to

applicable codes or standards irrelevant to drawing user or avoid leaving certain decision making on site foreman or engineer, since designer got no right to waste site personnel precious time by just keeping for searching indicated requirements

26 Design manager shall ensure that specifications are directly applied on site activities without further referring to other sources, such as engineering formula, engineering codes, engineering theorems etc., since site does not seek support in general, from such national or international codes.

27 All such discipline specifications shall be piled up within project specification document, so that information can easily be referred to by all parties, whenever required for certain reasons.

well as, to engineer & contractor time wise, cost wise & quality wise can be solved for implementation/resolutions

Project Plan Objective:1 Project plan means a document giving all, either prime or major phases or stages on project

prosecution from its inception to close out.2 Its purpose is to define in brief, methods in principle to carry out parts of project.3 This is an industrial project to be integrated on to a part of national infrastructure producing

gas based combined cycle electric power of considerable magnitude.4 Basic requirement pertinent prosecution should be respected, such that an industrial project

should operate safely integrated with efficient processing trains designs, with optimum maintenance, provided with effective systems to meet certain emergency contingencies, easily be shut down for maintenance, should be architecturally & structurally, sound & having its supporting services infrastructure to match state of art technology.

5 Requirements for such an industrial project’s prosecution on available piece of land6 Following matrix format gives prime activities based responsibilities applicable on both

parties to contract
