Concept note
Effective youth participation is about creating opportunities for young people to be involved in influencing, shaping, designing and contributing to policy; and the development of services and programmes. Education and training are key dimensions of young people's circumstances, experiences and transition pathways, and hence why they are key areas for youth policies at all levels. Serving as a organization for international exchange of experiences and knowledge on youth empowerment Jssor Youth Orgnisation and SALAM for Democracy and Human Rights would like to take this opportunity to organize a 2 hours workshop, we intends to bring together members of youth and young civil society members to give them necessary means and skills to be effective in public participations and lobbying.
Expected Outcomes
Strengthening the capacity of participants to formulate effective advocacy plan How they can benefit from the UN mechanisms that will help them to achieve their goals.
Share working definitions of advocacy, community organizing and social justice Give them the basic on how to become reliable channels of human rights advocacy.
Knowledge on effective Human Rights advocacy, United Nations tools and mechanisms.
