The conference, held at Kirpal Bagh in Delhi, culminated in a celebration of the birth anniversary of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj (1894–1974). In his opening address, the spiritual Master said the conference was an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Beloved Master’s teachings. Maharaj Ji urged the audience to be vigilant about the ways of the mind which can trap us in the quicksand of the world. The more we remember the Lord, he said, the less grime we will have on our soul. When we feel hopeless and helpless in our spiritual quest, God sends his representatives, the saints, to show us the path to lasting bliss and happiness. Reality lies within us; God is within and can be experienced through meditation. At every moment, he said, the grace of the Lord is being showered upon us. During a conference seminar, “Meditation as Medication for the Soul,” Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj said meditation nourishes the soul and replenishes it with the waters of God’s love. The soul shines in its original glory when the veils of mind, matter, and illusion are removed. Speaking at Sant Darshan Singh Ji Dham in Burari, on the northern outskirts of Delhi, His Holiness Sant
Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj delivered a profound discourse on the spiritual significance of marriage.
Real marriage, he said, is that of our
soul to the Oversoul. For this union with
God, our soul needs to traverse the inner
spiritual regions and reach the true home
of the Lord. This is why daily meditation is a
requirement on the spiritual path.
Maharaj Ji added that a married couple
should lovingly fulfill all their worldly
responsibilities while helping each other
grow spiritually. This means inculcating
the ethical virtues of truthfulness, kindness,
honesty, compassion, and humility while devoting time to meditation, so that the marriage of the soul with
God takes place within this lifetime.
During other March satsangs before departing India for the United States, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj
covered a range of spiritual topics. Speaking about the significance of controlling our mind, he said that the
game of life seldom runs smoothly. Life has its seasons, but even painful periods should be looked upon as
beneficial, because passing through them lightens our karmic burden. When the upheavals of life agitate
our mind we should remember: “This too shall pass.”
A true disciple, he said, knows that the way back to God is only through love. The disciple must strive for
equipoise through the turbulence of worldly situations, remaining calm and centered in the love for God,
and with full faith that whatever is happening is for the highest good. A true disciple does not yearn for
worldly objects but instead finds contentment with whatever God has bestowed.
Love for God is the single most potent factor steadily propelling us closer to our spiritual goal of attaining
merger with the Lord. Love means living according to the will of the Lord. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj
emphasized that where there is love, there is bliss. Once we experience the boundless love of God within
us, we remain in a constant state of ecstasy irrespective of our outer circumstances. We have an everlasting
connection with the fountainhead of joy within us.

22nd International Conference on Human Integration, continued Celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj
THE CONCLUDING SESSION OF THE 22ND INTERNATIONAL
Conference on Human Integration on February 6 was aptly titled
“Kirpal – The Ocean of Grace.” The name “Kirpal Singh” literally
means “merciful lion,” and this great saint was indeed an ocean of
love and compassion.
Religious, civic, and social leaders shared their views on universal
love, ethical values, and spirituality.
Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj concluded the conference with a
message of love. He recalled how Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj filled
our hearts with love, and the divine love that emanated from him
brought about a transformation in many souls around the world.
Maharaj Ji added that his six-word timeless slogan of “Be Good, Do
Good, Be One” is the quintessence of spirituality.
The spiritual Master brought home the message of oneness that all
saints have brought since the beginning of time.
There is but one God, and we are all God’s
children, children of Light, like flowers in the
garden of the Lord. God is a bubbling brook
of beauty; but this beauty is far removed from
any definition of beauty of this material world.
As souls, we are all imbued in God’s beauty,
but it is only when we meditate and rise above
the veil of illusion that we realize this beauty
also lies within us.
Programs were held for the public throughout
February and March. A special session on
February 14 focused on Valentine’s Day.
Speaking of God, the eternal Valentine,
Maharaj Ji said we must seek to experience
true love, the love of God. God’s love is deep,
pure, unconditional, and outlasts all loves
we may find in this world. The main purpose
of Valentine’s Day, he said, is to experience
the love of God so we can take steps to fulfill
our life’s goal of self-knowledge and God-
