HelloWelcome to Manchester Airport!
We are part of MAG (which also owns London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth Airports) - the UK’s largest airport group. The group has revenues of over £839m, and is expanding in the USA.
With an affluent catchment of 22 million people within a 2 hour drive time, Manchester Airport really is a superb location from which to grow new routes. We are the UK’s largest airport outside of London and the twelve months to July 2017 have seen us exceed 27 million passengers – an all-time record.
We’ve been very busy in terms of new routes and carriers. We launched 17 new routes between 2016 and 2017 including Beijing with Hainan Airlines; San Francisco and Boston with Thomas Cook Airlines and Virgin Atlantic; Houston and Singapore with Singapore Airlines; Casablanca with Royal Air Maroc; Riyadh with Saudia and Muscat with Oman Air.
This year has also seen Hainan Airlines increase to a daily summer service to Beijing and December 2017 will see Cathay Pacific increase to daily flights to Hong Kong. We now offer over 200 direct destinations with around 60 airline and tour operator partners.
On the back of our new routes and carriers, I am delighted to say that we have won the ‘Best UK Airport’ at the Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards in 2015, 2016 and now again in 2017.
We are very proud of this and appreciate all the support we receive. Manchester Airport continues with its £1 billion transformation programme - a series of terminal and airfield enhancements which will enable us to deliver 55 million passengers a year. This will include an array of state of the art facilities for both passengers and airlines - ensuring that the airport continues to thrive as a national asset and play an even greater role as the UK’s global gateway in the North.
These are exciting times at Manchester Airport – we look forward to discussingroute development opportunities with you.
