The tops of our ebony finger-boards are precision surfaced with a diamond surface grinder. This exclusive process insures a uniform thickness tolerance of less than .001” from one end of the fingerboard to the other. A three piece layered body utilizing the finest selections of walnut for the back, alder wood for the center layer, and our most highly figured California Claro Walnut for the top really gives these basses a stunning appearance. To further compliment the overall design, the body edges are fully radiused. The Claro Walnut series represents Carvin’s commitment to the design and craftsmanship of high-end basses. Bolt-on Hardrock Maple Neck with Ebony Fingerboard

The BN bolt on 6-string neck has several advantages over a stock Strat® neck including a 2-way adjustable truss rod. The tilt back headstock eliminates the need for a string tree and provides crisper open notes. Includes slotted graphite nut by Graphtech. Carvin’s exclusive diamond fingerboard grind-ing process is accurate to within one thousandth of an inch. Medium jumbo frets. Drilled to accept all popular tuners. 12” radiused Ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and 251/2” scale. Fits 21 or 22 fret Strat s & many other guitars.

Through the Body NecksThese eastern hardrock maple necks are for through-the-body construction making it relatively easy for an experienced wood worker to build a quality guitar. All Carvin necks come with 24 medium jumbo .103 high x .048 tall frets, an ebony fingerboard, angled headstock, graphite nut and dot inlays on the top and side. 2-way adjustable truss rod.
