TEST CASES DRIVE TEST METHODOLOGY
Coverage and quality performance check
The Rx level of each sector will be checked by locking on the BCCH in idle mode.
The Rx quality for each sector will be checked by locking on the BCCH in dedicated mode.
A drive test around the site will be done to check the coverage distribution of the site where there is accessible road. This will help to check the cross feeder connection.
Call Performance Check.
Set call model parameters: Destination Number = 118, Originate Mode = GSM, Call Type = Call by Call, Setup Timeout = 30s, Call Duration = 120s, Test/Exceptional Interval = 15s, Call Start Mode = Idle Mode, Call times = 5 times
Handover Performance CheckHandover performance to be verified by locking on the BCCH and then forcing the call to handover to the target cell.

supported by the network.
For isolated sites, if there is no continuous coverage, the inter-site handover
test will be ignored (discarded)

3.3 Throughput performance
Site acceptance performance test should be performed in static mode and in
good RF conditions, Rx level > -75dBm & C/I> 12dB.

Note: Both UL and DL tests are not expected to be done for each sector. The
upload and download test will be done to different sectors of the site to show the
area under the sector is provided with EDGE services regardless of the band.
Test Protocol:
The data transfer will be from a test FTP server. Attempt to download a
specific zip-file (2MB for downlink and 0.5MB for uplink).

4 Acceptance Criteria
All calls, handovers and PS transfer tests should have 100% Success rate. Moreover
all tests should not experience Call drops and PS transfer drops.
Average FTP UL throughput, normally, should not be less than 30 kbps. Average
FTP DL throughput, normally, should not be less than 60 kbps. In case the testing
result is lower than threshold, due to some reasons such as PS user congestion and
so on, the report can be validated after Ericsson provides clarification such as OSS
PS performance data.
The Coverage and Quality requirements is met when the testing mobile station
records an Rx Level full value greater than -65dBm in idle mode and an Rx Quality
sub value of less than 3 in a dedicated mode while testing near to the site under the
sectors main beam coverage.
