Springvale Excursion

We went shopping at Springvale for Indo recipes so we can cook at school in our groups. Leah H

‘Springvale’ First of all when we got to Springvale, we split up into our groups. Leah and I were with Mrs Isaacs and Mrs Jennings. We went to to have a look at the bakeries then we got 2 packets of small sponge cakes, one was vanilla and the other chocolate. Then we went to the $2.80 shop where there were lots of lollies, so Leah and I spent a bit of time choosing what we were going to get. Then Leah decided that she was going to get 2 packets of Pokos for $2.80 so I got 2 packets of Pokos, vanilla and chocolate. After lunch we bumped into Chase’s group and we ordered some drinks. All of the Year 6’s bought something - Leah and I were getting afternoon tea for the teachers. Afterwards, all of the groups met up and went back to the bus stop, then back to school. I would like to give a massive thanks to Bu King for taking us! Charlee T

Zoe Badwi

On Tuesday, Mrs Isaacs organised for Zoe Badwi to visit us. Zoe sang 2 songs, ‘Release Me’ and ‘Freefallin”. We were also lucky enough to interview her about her music. All of the Grade 5/6’s had a fun time and thank her for coming. Maisie and Lucy

Students should bring their normal lunch and drinks, but their teachers may advise them to eat at

different times according to their swimming timetable.

PLEASE REMEMBER; Name everything with a permanent marker– especially goggles.

Children must bring and wear a swimming cap and you should dry it and put some talcum

powder in it each night. This makes it easy to put on. Writing their name on the front with

permanent marker will also help their instructor learn their name.

Plastic bags for wet clothing.

Sandals to wear to the pool: put these in their bag with their towel, they will put them on at

school before they go to the pool.

Bathers should be worn to school to make changing at the pool very quick. Don’t forget to put

in underwear for coming back, and girls should wear the top of their bathers down so they can

have easy access to the toilet when at school.

Pack a little extra food, as they will be hungry after swimming.

Allow for extra sleep time, as they will be more tired than usual.

PLEASE show your child the towel you are packing so they will know which one is theirs.

Please remember to fill in the payment slip when depositing money into your account.

Thank you Wendy

Once a week, take a peek!

Families please check your child’s hair for Head Lice each Sunday before they return to school. Please treat immediately if an infestation is found. The incidence of head lice would reduce significantly if this quick check was undertaken weekly.
