Washington will host media virtually during all three days. Washington made eight selections in the 2020 NFL Draft. All of the selections appeared in game action last season including first-round selection Chase Young, who started in all 15 games he appeared in and won AP Defensive Rookie of the Year. Washington produced two Pro Bowlers in 2020, including guard Brandon Scherff and rookie defensive end Chase Young. Scherff was a first-round pick of Washington in 2015 (No. 5 overall) and Young was a first-round selection in 2020 (No. 2 overall). In the last eight seasons, Washington has had nine players earn a total of 20 Pro Bowl selections, eight of which were by homegrown talents. • Washington holds eight selections in the 2021 NFL Draft which opens on Thursday, April 29. The first round begins at 8:00 p.m. ET and will be televised by NFL Network, ABC and ESPN. • Washington enters the 2021 NFL Draft with a total of eight scheduled selections. Washington finished the season at 7-9 and won the NFC East Division.

• Washington holds five of their original selections including picks in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh rounds. They also hold two picks in the third and seventh rounds, respectively.

DRAFT WEEK ‘21 LIVEWashington Football Team fans are invited to attend the Wash-ington Draft Week ’21 Live fan experience presented by Bud Light on Thursday, April 29 at FedExField.

The Draft Week ’21 Live fan experience will be the first in-per-son fan event of the year. This year’s theme centers around the 1980s to commemorate a golden era in Washington Football Team history – an era that inspires and fuels our future success. Admission to the event is free for all fans, who are encouraged to wear their favorite 1980s-inspired fashion trends. Capacity will be limited to 3,000 fans to ensure adequate space to comply with social distancing guidelines. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis beginning on April 24, with a special early-access period for Season Ticket Members begin-ning on April 22. For more details on Draft Week ’21 Live and to register for the event, visit Washingtonfootball.com/draft.

Fans will have access to activations and entertainment through-out the night, including an on-field self-guided selfie tour – with a stop that pays homage to the “Hogs” offensive line, a Wash-ington Football Team locker room tour, interview room tour and a field goal kick in the endzone. The night’s entertainment will include performances by an ‘80s tribute band as well as DJ Jealousy spinning ‘80s hits throughout the evening. The event will also feature a live broadcast show with analysis and com-mentary from Julie Donaldson, Bram Weinstein and Fred Smoot, conversations with current players, alumni and special guests throughout the night, and a live HD-board feed from the NFL Draft broadcast in Cleveland. There will be a best-dressed ‘80s fashion contest, a limited-edition Fanatics Draft hat and ‘80s capsule t-shirt on sale in-stadium at the Team Shop and on-line, plus giveaways, prizes and more. Fans age 21 and over will also have the opportunity to enter to win a Bud Light retro beer fridge.

For fans celebrating from home, the team will livestream all the Draft Week ’21 Live online coverage via the Washington Foot-ball Team YouTube, Twitter and Facebook pages. The full virtual schedule will be released Draft Week, and fans are encouraged to tune in for exclusive content and live access to event high-lights in Cleveland and at FedExField.

MEDIA INFORMATION:Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the media room at Inova Sports Performance Center will be closed.

MEDIA AVAILABILITY: Head Coach Ron Rivera and General Manager Martin Mayhew are tentatively scheduled to speak with the media each day of the draft. The press conferences will be held virtually on Zoom.

As soon as possible, Washington Public Relations will digitally provide notes and other materials on each selection. Washington Public Relations staffers will coordinate a conference call with each of Washington’s draft picks shortly after their selections. These calls will take place on our conference call line. Media will need to RSVP in order to get the call-in information. Digital tran-scripts will be provided.

Washington will formally introduce their picks from the first two days of the draft during Zoom press conferences on Monday, May 3, 2021. Exact timing has not yet been determined.

• Dating back to 2011, Washington has selected at least eight players in 10 consecutive drafts for the first time since the league adopted the seven-round format in 1994.

• Washington currently has two third-round selections. It is the first time the organization is scheduled to have two third round selections since 2014.

• The 2020 NFL Draft was the second-consecutive draft that Washington picked four offensive players in a row (2020: RB Antonio Gibson, T Saahdiq Charles, WR Antonio Gandy-Gold-en and C Keith Ismael; 2019: WR Terry McLaurin, RB Bryce Love, G Wes Martin and C Ross Pierschbacher). • Young’s selection marked the fourth-straight year in which Washington selected a defen-sive player with a first-round pick in the draft joining Montez Sweat (No. 26 overall in 2019), Daron Payne (No. 13 overall in 2018) and Jonathan Allen (No. 17 overall in 2017).
