“Look What We Are Learning”

Pop, Crackle, Boom let us tell you what our little firecrackers learned this month!

July’s theme was “Inside & Outside”. Inside we made some cool tie dye shirts using

our colors of the month “Red, White & Blue” and for outside we danced to “Hokey

Pokey”. We had fun making red crabs using our shape of the month the “Octagon”.

Let’s not forget Splash Days, they have been so good to us. We can’t wait for next

month to learn more exciting new things!

“Look What We Are Learning” Theme: “Open & Close”

Baby sign: “Diaper” Shape: “Oval” Song: “Good Morning To You” Color: “Blue” Rhymes/Fingerplay: “Where is Thumbkin”

Ms. Diana O. & Ms. Alexis For the month of July we learned the shape “Octagon” and the color “Red,

White & Blue”. We made a couple of fun crafts, we even made a popsicle using

our footprints. We painted a fun picture for the Fourth of July. We enjoyed

dancing the “Hokey Pokey” and our favorite books were “I See the Moon” and

“Goodnight Moon”. We played with an empty box going “In and Out” , that

was so much fun! We are excited to see what the month of August has for us.

“Look What We Are Learning”

Ms. Elizabeth & Ms. Amaya What we learned in July was the shape “Octagon” and our

colors were “Red, White & Blue”. We did color activities for

the Fourth of July, and had a blast dancing to the “Hokey,

Pokey” with our friends. We learned some words in Spanish

for example Turtle, Inside & Outside and Dog. July was so

much fun! We had a blast this summer!

Room 4 “Look What We Are Learning”

Theme: “Big Animals” Baby sign: “Diaper” Shape: “Oval” Song: “Did You Ever See” Color: “Blue” Rhymes/Fingerplay: “This Cow”

Ms. Mandy, Ms. Halee & Ms. Desiree For the month of July, we learned about “Sea

Animals and Boats”. We enjoyed reading the

books “Jump Frog Jump” and “Bringing the

Rain”. Our animal hunt for sea life around the

classroom was so much fun. We had a blast

learning about ducks, we played with toy ducks

that were in a bin of water, and pretended they

were swimming in a pond. Artwork is always

super messy and fun, just the way we like it!

Room 5

Ms. Amanda, Ms. Emily & Ms. Joann We have learned so many new things and were having fun doing so. We

enjoyed making a baby Yoda puppet and making structures with pretzel sticks

and marshmallows. We really enjoyed all of our cooking projects and our

sensory play. We went on a scavenger bug hunt around our classroom and

even looked for different bugs outside. Our favorite activity was making mini

pizzas and talking about different food from all around the world.

Room 6 Ms. Ashley, Ms. Amaris & Ms. Allison

For the month of July we had lots of fun with our hands on projects and

experiments that the curriculum had in store for us! Our favorite theme

week was “Jedi Camp”, we loved making “Star Wars” crafts like Yoda ears

hats which we enjoyed wearing! We also made Darth Vader and Yoda on a

stick with their Jedi Swords. Our other favorite week was “Mighty Insects”

we had a class discussion on what our favorite bug is. We were really

interested and engaged in learning about different insects and their

habitats. It’s been a great summer so far and we’re having lots of fun!

Room 7

For the month of July we reviewed the letters G,H,I,J,K & L. We enjoyed making

glow in the dark slime it was so much fun to play with. For fun we made a Jedi

temple out of paper. We learned about the inventions from all over the World.

We were able to design a roller coaster and car out of pool noodles. We also

learned about different insects. We created insect fossils and made a butterfly

which was fun. We learned about the different parts on the world like Italy,

Brazil, Africa, France and Japan. We got to learn about the different types of

animals in Africa and learned about famous painters in France.

Room 8

We learned about “Force” and “Motion” during “Jedi Camp” by creating a

Styrofoam cup balance beam, we each got to take turns standing on it to see if it

would hold us. We made straw rockets and a lightsaber and also learned about the

Jedi. As part of our invention convention we built a tower made of toothpicks and

marshmallows. We built a popsicle catapult and tested different objects to see how

far it would go we had so much fun with this experiment. We made a bug bracelet

which was fun, we even went on a bug hunt!

Room 9

Our class had tons of fun in July, along

with our field trips we had a ourselves a

Jedi Camp. We got to make glow in the

dark slime and our very own lightsabers

out of pool noodles. We discussed simple

machines and how they work, and then

tested our engineering skills by making a

straw roller coaster. We also got to learn

how to make our own ice cream which

was so much fun and delicious!

Room 10 Ms. Arianna & Mr. David

We had a fun filled July, it was full of hands on activities, splash days and field trips.

We made crafts for the Fourth of July. We dove into our Jedi Camp and created

Storm Trooper masks. We also learned about different insects and discussed what

are favorite insects are. We learned about magnetic forces and how they work and

also talked about famous inventors. We are ready to wrap up Summer and get ready

for the upcoming school year!
