1. Based on the 2016 Union revenue law, it stipulates that trading teak or hardwood locally more than 100 square feet would expense 25% of commercial tax and 5pc of income tax. In 2018, the local government approved the logs import for solving the shortage of raw materials. According to the above issues, the costs of imported wood will lower the costs and indirectly increase the competitiveness of wooden products from the reductions in prices.

2. Industry 4.0 remains as an important economic strategy for Myanmar to increase domestic or global competitiveness. Meanwhile, the wage inflation over 30% from 2018 that factories would take action on investing in automated machines for facing the costs of human resources.

3. Myanmar GDP growth in 2021 will be relatively recovered to 6.8% while 2020 global is suffered from COVID-19 pandemic. With the figure above Myanmar is expected to rank as number 1 in Southeast Asia.
