Rules & Guidelines

Eligibility: Only residents of Palo Pinto County or students enrolled in a Palo Pinto County School are eligible to enter as many classes as desired. All entries must have been completed since last year’s Palo Pinto County Fair and must be the work of the person submitting the entry. No entries previously entered in the Palo Pinto County Fair will be accepted. Registration and Entry Fee: Entries will be accepted online from January 10-23, 2021 at http://palopintocounty.fairentry.com. Since entries will be judged virtually, every entry must include a photo of the item that will be uploaded during the registration process. A $1.00 entry fee will be charged for each entry in the show. No entry fees will be refunded. These funds are used to partially defray expenses of the show. Number of Entries: Exhibitors may enter one item per class. Age Groups: Kiddies – 2nd grade & under Junior – 3rd-5th grades Intermediate – 6th-8th grades Senior – 9th- 12th grades Adult Entry Requirements: All entries should have been completed since the January 10, 2020. Prizes: Entries in each class will be placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. All youth entries not placing in the top 5 will receive a ribbon for participation. Judges will also award Grand & Reserve Champion Rosettes when appropriate. If donations allow, prize money will be awarded to Grand and Reserve Champions in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior Divisions. Checks should be mailed within one month after the fair. All checks will be void within 60 days of the date written. Judges decisions are final. Display and Future Rights: By entering, the participant grants permission to the Palo Pinto County Fair the use, and rights associated to the use of the photographic likeness, in promotional publications, and other media, without compensation. All rules are subject to changes by the Executive Board as deemed necessary for the proper functioning of the Palo Pinto County Fair.

Entries such as muffins, cupcakes, cookies, tarts, and candy should have six (6) displayed together in the picture submitted.

The recipe(s) must accompany all entries and will be uploaded at time of entry. For purposes of anonymity while judging, all recipes should be printed/written on single-sided sheets of paper without the exhibitor’s name visible.
