Amanda Spedding Alcumus Trainer Alcumus journey I have been with Alcumus for over two years now. I took the 9001 Lead Auditor exam in 2015, after years of working with multiple standards and audits. I now audit ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001.

Area of expertise Where do I begin... Healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, ethical supply chain (SMETA, SA 8000 etc), chemistry, BRC, general manufacturing / production, process engineering and paper product manufacturing and quality assurance.

My hobbies I enjoy hiking and supporting charities. I also do martial arts, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to be specific, so be prepared for a nice wake-up call if I see you not paying attention on one of my courses.

Eddie Joyce Alcumus Trainer Alcumus journey I have been with Alcumus for four years, and I got my first 9001 Lead Auditor ticket in 2008.

Area of expertise Construction, Welding and Fabrication, Steelmaking and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)

My hobbies I like to practise playing my bass guitar but if my family are reading this, then of course my main hobby and what I enjoy doing most is spending time with them.

Samuel Westwood Academy Sales Alcumus journey I have now been with Alcumus for just shy of six years, working with the academy for five, having previously worked with Alcumus PSM on their HR and Health and Safety support that they offer.

Area of expertise ISO Management Systems training and Health and Safety training. I enjoy helping companies understand their training requirements in further detail and ensuring the correct level of tuition is achieved.

My hobbies I enjoy watching and playing football. I still play on a Thursday, although my legs don’t quite enjoy it as much as they used to; Fridays are always a struggle! I also enjoy going to the gym when I can.

Martin Pearce Alcumus Trainer Alcumus journey I have just started my fifth year with Alcumus as a purpose-built trainer. I deal with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.

Area of expertise My specialisations include, but are not limited to, IT projects, certain elements of manufacturing, security and audit vocational education.

My hobbies I enjoy getting out on the golf course as often as I can. My pseudonym is currently ‘bandit’, as I am improving faster than my handicap is dropping which tends to make Saturday mornings somewhat lucrative.

Michelle Tattersall Alcumus Trainer Alcumus journey I joined Alcumus Academy in April 2018 as a Management Systems Trainer. I took my Lead Auditor course thirteen days after joining, closely followed by ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015 conversion courses, and delivered my first course (independently) - I hit the ground running as they say!

Area of expertise I am a qualified engineer, toolmaker and welder so I have worked across many industrial sectors, including construction, pharmaceutical engineering and manufacturing. I have implemented ISO Management systems (9001, 14001 & 45001) and worked with lots of other standards, including construction, aerospace and pharmaceuticals.

My hobbies I really enjoy real ale trails and I love to explore Goa, where I have a holiday home.

Emma Bullivant Academy Business Scheduler Alcumus journey I have been with Alcumus for fourteen months. In my previous role, I worked on multiple contracts within the projects department.

Area of expertise I have my IOSH and NEBOSH certificates, so I thought it would be useful to take the ISO 45001 Foundation and Internal Auditors course. My next plan is to attend the ISO 45001 conversion course and if I am feeling brave enough, I may take the Lead Auditor Course.

My hobbies Love crocheting! It started out as a hobby to stop me snacking at night but I am now making blankets for everyone! I am also trying to cycle more to work (when the British weather allows) so hopefully a new me this year.

Andrea Glykofrydis Academy Business Manager Alcumus journey I joined Alcumus in January 2019 as the Academy Business Manager. It’s been quite a whirlwind, but I am enjoying my new role and I work with a great team of people.

Area of expertise Business delivery and leading a team to be the best they can be. I ensure that the Academy is fully compliant with all IRCA requirements, which gives our clients the assurance they are receiving training excellence from highly competent tutors.

My hobbies I have three sons (no, I am not mad!) so my hobbies have a habit of reflecting what they enjoy doing. As a family, we enjoy going to Cornwall at least once a year to surf. I really enjoy being outside, so when the weather is permitting you will find me in the garden, going for country walks. My favourite thing of all is to be able to sit in the garden, eating dinner with my favourite tipple - heaven!
