2020-21 UNIFORM INFORMATION Uniform requirements are different this year than in years past. On the following pages you’ll find informaon about our: Daily Uniforms (Boys = blue or white Lumen logo’ed polo shirt with khaki pants; Girls = blue or white Lumen logo’ed polo shirt with khaki pants, khaki skirt or Lumen plaid skirt); Mass Day Uniforms (Boys = white buon down shirt (no logo) and Lumen e with khaki pants; Girls = white buon down shirt (no logo) and Lumen e with khaki pants, khaki skirt or Lumen plaid skirt); and, Spirit Wear & Dress Down Days Are Important Notes! Our new vendor, TNT carries only logo’ed uniform tops. Khaki pants, khaki skirts and white buon down shirts may be purchased anywhere or through either of our two previous vendors—Land’s End (www.landsend.com) or Tommy Hilfiger (www.globalschoolwear.com). Families are welcome to procure any/all uniform items through Lands End or Tommy, but TNT is our local opon with in-person customer service. (www.tntsportsalaska.com/lumen-chris-high-school). The Lumen plaid e is only sold in the Front Office. The cost is $20 and can be added to your SmartTuion account. The Lumen plaid skirt is only sold through Tommy Hilfiger. Tommy sizing tends to runs small and there always seems to be extensive shipping delays. Please plan accordingly! Remember the plaid is an opon, not required. Girls can wear khaki pants and khaki skirts purchased anywhere in town or on line. 2020-21 UNIFORM INFORMATION

Daily Uniform Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday

Daily Uniforms consist of a blue, white or maroon (seniors only) polo shirt; khaki pants or skirts, or the Lumen

plaid skirt. Lumen logo’ed sweaters, fleece vests or fleece jackets may be worn over the top of the polo shirts.

Students can wear casual shoes of their choice as long as they’re not distracting to their uniform. Specifically

prohibited shoes include: open toed or open backed shoes, as well as Crocs, slippers, moccasins, tall boots, flip

flops or sandals.

Students must wear black, brown, navy or white socks or the “Archangel” socks available from TNT Sports. Fri-

day is the exception - any socks may be worn that day.

Girls may wear Lumen leggings (available from TNT) with their skirt, or other black or navy leggings or tights.

Knee high socks are permitted, as are bare legs.

Girls may wear plain or Lumen printed athletic headbands on Daily Uniform days. Boys may not.

Daily Uniform Examples Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday

NOTES:

1. Girls don’t have to wear a skirt, they can wear khaki pants as well. A black or brown belt must be worn by all students when wearing pants.

2. Khaki shorts are allowed on Fridays in August and September and after Spring Break. Skirts and shorts must be no shorter than one inch

above the knee.

3. As an option to the Lumen polo under sweaters and cardigans, students may wear a plain white, crew neck t-shirt. (See Example 2/Boys, Ex-

ample 3/Girls.) No V-necks, no visible designs, no removing your sweater or cardigan during the day and walking around in a t-shirt.

Mass Day Uniform Thursdays

Students are expected to “dress up” and wear their Mass Day Uniform every Thursday.

Mass Day Uniforms consist of the same khaki pants for boys; and khaki skirt, pants or Lumen plaid skirt for girls.

Belts must be worn with pants.

All students must wear a plain white button down shirt with a Lumen tie. No polos are permitted.

Lumen logo’ed sweaters, cardigans, fleece vests or fleece jackets may be worn over the top of the shirt and tie.

Students must wear black or brown dress shoes. These dress shoes are required for Mass only, students may

change back into their casual, Daily Uniform shoes after Mass.

Students must wear brown, black, navy or white socks. Archangel socks are not permitted on Mass Days.

Girls have the same legging/tights/sock options on Mass Day as they do with the Daily Uniforms.

Girls may wear plain headbands with their Mass Day Uniform but not Lumen printed athletic ones.

Mass Day Uniforms may also be required on special event days—e.g., Annual Gala, Community Mass, Catholic

Schools Week, etc. Students and parents will always be told in advance when Formal Uniforms are required on a

non-Mass day.

Mass Day Uniform Examples Thursdays

NOTES:

1. Girls can wear khaki pants to Mass, they are not limited to skirts.

2. Sweaters, vests, cardigans, etc., pictured above are not required for Mass Day, students may wear just the button down shirt and tie.

3. Students may wear their more casual “Daily Uniform” shoes before and after Mass, but must have dress shoes to change into for Mass.

4. Students may wear Mass Day uniforms in lieu of Daily Uniforms on M, T, W & F. Students may not wear Daily Uniforms in lieu of Mass Day

uniforms on Thursday.

Spirit Wear & Dress Down Days As Announced

Spirit Wear Days:

“Spirit Wear” = Lumen printed sweatshirts, t-shirts and hoodies.

Students may wear jeans or khakis with their Spirit Wear tops. Belts must be worn.

Shoes are Daily Uniform shoes, any socks may be worn.

Leggings, flannel pajamas, joggers and sweat pants are not permitted.

Dress Down Days:

Dress down days = no uniform or even Spirit Wear required.

Girls can wear leggings with a very long t-shirt.

No rips, holes or tears in jeans. No flannel pajamas.

Joggers, sweat pants are OK.

Spirit Wear Examples As Announced

NOTES:

1. Pictured above are Spirit Wear Day examples. We don’t have pictures of Dress Down Day examples, but think of those days as Spirit Wear

Days but without the Lumen printed clothing! Casual, neat and clean should be the determining factor. No rips, tears or holes in jeans on

either Spirit Wear or Dress Down Days.

2. Joggers and sweat pants are not allowed on a Spirit Wear Days, they are allowed on a Dress Down Days.

3. Throughout the year there will be dress up/dress down costume days—e.g., Halloween, Pajama Day, Class Color Day, All Saint’s Day, etc.

Students and parents will be notified in advance of these days and what allowable attire is.
