Dear Parents and Students, It is with immense pleasure that I welcome you at the threshold of academic year 2020-21 which awaits you here at Jagdish Chander DAV College, Dasuya, NAAC: Grade A; a premier institution having almost half a century old legacy of academic excellence with a long and rewarding history of achievements in academics, sports, social service, youth welfare and extracurricular activities, the college continues to march forward together with confidence, pride and enthusiasm. We are proud to be able to offer an education where not only high achievers reach their goals but all students have both the opportunity and support to achieve their personal best. Although, at present, the global pandemic COVID-19 has gripped all and sundry, yet the show must go on..... So, the college has fully equipped itself to cope up with the challenges while imparting education to its students. Already online teaching has been in operation in full swing where teachers and students both have been proactive to compensate with the losses due to a country wide lockdown. The faculty members at our college stand fully committed to create an amiable and professional environment for the students where they can develop intensively as well as extensively, keeping in mind the unrest of the post-modern era and the demand of the global industry. Abundant placements annually, digital enhancement of library, use of technical educational platforms and tools, online courses and augmentation of sports resonate in the mission statement of our college for which we work every day, every inch. It is befitting to share here that for the meritorious rankings of the college in academics , sports and youth festivals, the space here feels too small as our students have occupied quite a lot of envious space in almost every newspaper by pinning their names in the positions at district, state and university level. Last but not the least, I would like to make an appeal to you all to stand united to fight against COVID-19 by religiously following the instructions laid down by the government. Adopt social distancing and stay home till the situation becomes better. We have also felt the need to cushion the tender psychology of the students especially during lockdown, thereby initiating a "psychological and physical well being" helpline for our students. The helpline numbers are available on the college website. Dear ones, the college fraternity awaits you to bless you and arm you with an unflinching quest for knowledge along with a spirit of service to humanity. Stay Safe. Dr. Amardeep Gupta (Principal)
