ABOUT ICAZ
The Ins�tuteof CharteredAccountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ), established in 1918, is oneof themajor accoun�ngbodies in Africa and is a full member of the Interna�onal Federa�on of Accountants (IFAC), Pan AfricanFedera�on of Accountants (PAFA) and Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB). It aims to enhance theInterna�onal standing and recogni�on of the qualifica�on Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe), for the benefit ofits members, to support them in providing quality services in the public interest. The Ins�tute also seeks to bethe pre-eminent professional body in the development and promo�on of accountancy, assurance and advisoryservices, business and good governance prac�ces. ICAZ members hold posi�ons of influence in organisa�onsthey work for locally and interna�onally.
ABOUT THE EVENT
TheWinter School is the InsÃtute’s flagship event held annually and it is the biggest event on the ICAZ calendar.The event seeks to bring together ICAZ members to share experiences as well as ge�ng updated on issuesrelated to the profession. The 2019Winter School will be hosted by one of our Chapters, the South African (SA)Chapter, under the theme “Disrup�ve Innova�on – Inves�ng for Growth”. ICAZ’s SA chapter members make up33% of ICAZ membership. The chapter is hos�ng the 2019 winter school as part of ICAZ’s ini�a�ve toac�vely engage all its members. South Africa is a connec�ng hub that will allow other ICAZ members in thediaspora to a�end the winter school with ease, since 50% of the total ICAZ membership consists of membersin the diaspora. It is expected that over 600 delegates from different sectors of the economy as well those frombeyond the borders of Zimbabwe will a�end this Winter School.
The conference will be exploring the need for businesses in Zimbabwe to disrupt the status quo in a tough anduncertain economic environment in order to thrive and excel locally and globally.
The conference structure will include business exhibi�ons, networking sessions and key sector breakawaysessions. The winter school program has been designed to allow for both business and leisure which will offerdelegates the opportunity to leave Sun City with disrup�ve innova�ve ideas, expanded networks and newstrategic alliances.
