NEWS from the Pantry

Summer has arrived! Our FUMC Food Pantry provided groceries for 43 families in June, and we expect our numbers to increase as children are home from school.

Our food focus for July will be peanut butter, soup, and canned corn. Your generous donations help keep our food pantry stocked. It shows what a loving community of Christians Fairfield is.

Thank you for your continued support. As stated in Matt.10:18 “Freely you have received; freely give.” God bless you.

FUMC Preschool is accepting registrations now for the 2019-2020 school year. We have

openings in all our classes. Registration forms are on the door of the preschool office or

available online. Be sure to share the news of our program with your family and friends!!

A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all who helped make our recent blood drive a super suc-

cess! We collected 67 units, which are so urgently needed! God bless all who were

UMW NEWS JULY 2019

Have you counted your blessings today? Do you feel safe and secure in your world? Can you imagine not having the

basic needs that make daily living secure? Do you feel called ‘into action’ to lend a helping hand to women in dis-

tress? As our purpose is to serve God through reaching out to women, youth and children, we invite you to join us on

our journey.

Imagine having to quickly ‘grab’ a few personal belongings and your children to escape a dangerous, abusive envi-

ronment. What to take? What must be left behind?

How is God calling us, Fairfield United Methodist Women, to take ACTION?

We are launching a new mission project – ‘Purse with a Purpose’. Do you have a purse you no longer use that you

could fill with toiletries, miscellaneous items and even a small toy? The purses collected will be distributed to

Women’s shelters in our local community.

Project details with a list of suggested items to fill your purse will be included in the July weekly bulletins. A col-

lection box will be placed in the narthex.

YOUR help with this project is vital! You will make a Difference!

May we feel God’s presence as we put Faith, Hope and Love into Action!

The will not meet during the months of Ju-

ly and August. We resume our monthly meetings on September 11th with a trip

to All-a-Flutter Butterfy Farm. We will meet at the church at 9:45am and take the

bus. More details to come.
