FOTO Update

• We are happy to announce that the TheraOffice Registry will be able to report on Quality Measures 217 – 223, or the Functional Status Change.

• FOTO users will have this information populate automatically based on the results from FOTO’s side.

• The exception will be their new QCDR for Neck impairments. To report on this QCDR, you will need to utilize FOTO’s registry.

2019 Changes: FLR / G-Codes

• Functional Limitation Reporting is not required by Medicare for any dates of service on or after January 1st, 2019.

• Non-Medicare insurances will decide on their own if they want to continue with the program.

• Does not impact any progress note requirements.

• TheraOffice Changes. Web customers will have their functional limitation reporting requirement turned off for all Medicare (insurance type) insurances on January 1st. On site customers will need to update this manually through the insurances screen in January. Commercial insurances with a change in requirement will need to be addressed manually by all customers.

2019 Changes: Therapy Cap

• Still required to be tracked, despite the fact that it has technically been repealed.

• The soft therapy cap has been increased to $2040.

• TheraOffice Changes. Web customers will have their caps updated automatically. On-site customers will need to download an ADI from the Add-In Manager. Instructions will be coming on January 2nd via e-mail.

2019 Changes: PTA/OTA Modifiers

• NOT REQUIRED UNTIL 2020.

• New Modifiers are required when a PTA/OTA furnishes more than 10 percent of the service.

• Physical Therapy Assistant Modifier: CQ

• Occupational Therapy Assistant Modifier: CO

• Payment for these services will be reduced by 15% (result of the therapy cap repeal).

• TheraOffice Changes. Nothing in this update. Will have something out in the second half of 2019 to prepare for this 2020 requirement.

TheraOffice .11 Update

We are currently in the beta stage for the .11 Update.

December 10th. Web rollout begins.

December 31st. All customers updated.

We do anticipate one more small additional update that makes some slight MIPS changes based on new information that is released. If you see an update available, make sure to download it.

.11 Update –New BMI Section

• New BMI section has been added

• Enter the values and BMI will automatically be calculated for you.

• Follow-up plan options are available through the checkbox list.

.11 Update –Medication

History

• Existing Medication History grid is being updated for MIPS compliance with the correct columns.

• Option for indicating No Current Medications or attesting to the Current Medications being documented in Image Note.

• MIPS Assessment automatically determined for you.

.11 Update –Functional

Testing

• Existing Functional Testing section has been updated to include Pain Assessment and Functional Assessment drop downs.

• These drop downs are automatically populated based on the functional tests that are indicated above.

• You will receive the following popup, validating your MIPS results when a corresponding Eval/Re-Eval Code is used.

• During the MIPS Setup Wizard on Update, you will be able to set whether or not Performance Met is required for every measure.

MIPS Wizard & The Point of No Return

After downloading the update, you will start to receive a popup at login telling you that you need to run the MIPS wizard.

Doing so will require that all other users also download the update.

The MIPS wizard must be run by January 1st, but should not be run until you are ready for all users to download the update.

NOTE: If you are an on-site customer that is planning on doing claims-based MIPS submission AND you have custom documentation, please contact support.

• Gives you a breakdown of the level of eligibility based on the first determination period.

• Makes it calculation based on the insurance type (will over-estimate if you have your Advantage plans set as Medicare).

• Should be used with CAUTION. Final say is from Medicare, not from TheraOffice.

• Decide whether or not you will be participating in the program.

• Decide whether you will be submitting via claims or registry• If Claims, the CPT codes will get transferred to Accounting

• If Registry, the CPT codes will get stored in the database for later access

• Setting that determines whether or not “Performance Met” is considered required on every visit.

• This setting works across all providers. Will not work if you are only having a select number of providers participate in the program.

• This is where you would select the PT/OT/SLP Documentation you want to be upgraded to support MIPS submission.

• For other documentation types (like FCE), ask yourself if you would ever use an eval/re-eval code on those patients. If so, they should be upgraded for MIPS.

Patient Portal - Beta

Portal Beta will start on January 1st with a few web customers.

This will continue until it is available for public release for both on-site and web (Q1 2019).

Additional webinars will be hosted in January and February highlighting how the portal works and how your clinic can signup.
