Dear Parents and Guardians

Join Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kulia SAC for a summer of fun and Adventure.

We have designed each camp to specifically meet the interest of our children and even added new camps this summer. You talked and we listened! We encourage you to work with your child when choosing camps to ensure the best summer experience for them. Each summer camp runs daily Monday – Friday from 0600-1800. We will begin each day with our “Step It Out” which will begin our day with an itinerary and introduction of the days events and choices.

In the afternoon, our Adventure Begins as children will experience activities, crafts, games, foods, songs and dances relating to the weeks theme.

Our field trips will incorporate the themes of each week to the best of our abilities and resources. We are also inviting special guest to come and share their talents with our children. We are committed to offering a well-rounded, eventful summer camp experience for each and every child.

Come share the fun, expand your knowledge, learn life skill, take home camp gear and make memories and new friends!

Important Camp Information

Placement is based on the DoD family type and priority list. You will be notified of placement once your child has been excepted. Children must wear

appropriate clothing and closed toed, heeled shoes at all times. Flip flops, sandals, and slippers are not allowed. Water play shoes must be closed-toed/heeled in order to participate.

Medical concerns/ special needs: If your child has special needs such as asthma, allergies, diabetes, seizures or any other special needs, additional paperwork is required and an IAT meeting is needed prior to the child starting. Please plan accordingly.

A signed permission slip is required for field trips and may be needed for specialty activities. Parents will receive permission slips prior to any activity requiring them and they are responsible for returning them .

Please remember that we are a peanut, shellfish free facility when packing lunches

***All camps, activities and fieldtrips are subject to change due to weather, availability and the needs of the program.***

Additional Camp Fee Information

• Camp fees are charged weekly : payment is due Monday Prior to the beginning of camp week.

• Completion of Department of Defense Fee Application (DD Form 2652) is required to establish a fee payment category. Failure to complete and submit DD Form 2652 would automatically place your household in Fee Category 9.

• Children enrolled in 1 day of camp for the week will automatically be charged the full weekly rate.

• Fee CAT 9** Includes Retirees, DoD Contractors and patrons employed by other Federal Agencies.

Additional Camp Information 1. Your Child’s grade for Summer Camp enrollment is based on their 2018-2019 school year

grade, not the grade they will be going into.

2. Outdoor Play will be offered daily, weather permitting. If you would like sunscreen applied, you MUST complete a Medication form at the front desk.

3. Please remember to bring a lunch Every Wednesday

4. We will depart for trips at 0900 every Wednesday. Please be on time!!!

Week 1

All About ME!!

The first week of our adventure we will begin with an orientation of the program. The children will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the rest of the camp goers. They will learn the how the camp

works and guidelines set in place for the protection of the children. We have prepared icebreakers and team building activities to kick start our summer fun. Children will be issued their Autograph books which will need to be signed through out this summer adventure. We will

explain the importance of keeping up with their autograph book and ensure that they are aware that

this is their responsibility. The more autographs they receive at the end of each week. The better the prize

choices they will have.
