March brings us out of the cold and dark winter months. Please remember to set your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday morning, March 11. Sunset that day will be at 7:42 p.m. as we near the Spring Equinox. �

The Annual Town Election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 3. The polls are open from 7:00 a.m. � 8:00 p.m. There are contested races for the Board of Selectmen, School Committee, and some Town Meeting Representative seats, as well as several ballot questions. If you are unable to make it to the voting location on Election Day, please contact the Town Clerk's Office at 978�250�5205 to obtain an absentee ballot.�

The 2018 Spring Annual Town Meeting is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Center. There are 29 warrant articles under consideration at Town Meeting. All residents have the authority to address the Town Meeting regarding any article under consideration. The Town Meeting sessions will continue on the following Thursday and Monday evenings until action is taken on each warrant article. Chelmsford Telemedia will provide live telecasts of the Town Meeting sessions.�

Information regarding our town events and activities is available on the Town's website: www.townofchelmsford.us. Volunteers are always needed to serve on town government committees, at the public library, and dozens of non�profit organizations across the community. Please consider offering your time and talents to the community. �

Did you know that we have a medical equipment loan program? It works like this: Someone is finished with a walker or wheelchair, shower chair or cane, etc…, so they donate it to us. Then when someone else needs it, we give it to them. The reason why I love this program so much is that it does not cost anyone anything, and we get to help you! We also get a chance to make a connection with someone who just lost a loved one, or with someone celebrating that they got better, or with a caregiver who needs support. Our goal is to be a conduit for kindness, a hub of health, and a home for the reserves of community care. Thank you to all who have donated to this program, and we encourage you to come to us if you need it.

Papa: The Book by Ed Alessi�The Story of an Italian Immigrant and his Family. Must register by March 14.�This will be a two�week workshop at a cost of $12/per person. Participants will read the book in advance so they can discuss it with Mr. Alessi, the author, in the first session.
