EXHIBITORS PLEASE NOTE:- RUNNING OUTSIDE THE RING IS NOT PERMITTED. Double handling is only permitted in the double handling ring and any person who enters the double handling ring enters at their own risk. Children must be over the age of 10 years and supervised by a parent/adult Access to rings: No person other than officials listed will be admitted to the judging ring with the exception of the Show Manager and the Committee members on offi-cial show business only. Under no circumstances shall any person be in the ring, as an official or observer, whilst there is an animal owned or part owned by that per-son being exhibited in that ring, until judging of the class is announced as being offi-cially completed and numbers have been taken by the Ring Steward. Gradings: the following Gradings may be awarded to exhibits at the Judges discre-tion.

“Promising/Very Promising” to exhibits under 12 months of age entered in Baby, Minor and Puppy Classes. “Good/ Very Good/Very Good Merit” to exhibits 12 months of age and over, entered in Junior, Intermediate and Open Classes. “Excellent/Excellent Merit” and GSDCQ/&or GSDCA Medallion to exhibits 24 months and over entered in Open Class that have been Classified under the GSDCA Breed Survey Scheme.

Exhibitor’s Vests: vests must be handed to the ring officials or returned to the Show Secretary before/upon leaving the judging ring. Failure to do so will incur a $35 charge for replacement vest. . Ground Security: The organizers of the Show will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to exhibitors property. Hot Weather precautions: Please check regularly on dogs which are left in trailers and cars. Exhibitors are advised to increase their level of fluid intake (no alcohol) in order to avoid heat stress and/or heat stroke when showing dogs in hot weather. Breed Survey Scheme: The small (*) in front of an exhibit’s name in the catalogue denotes that the dog has been breed surveyed and classified as either Class 1 or Class 11. 5.2.10 Titles & Awards

5.2.10.1 Titles The title State Sieger and State Siegerin will be awarded to the winner of the Open Dog and Bitch WHO HAVE BEEN AWARDED THE GRADING OF EXCELLENT SELECT at that show respectively. 5.2.1 Aim & Purpose 5.2.1.1 The State Breed Exhibition (SBE) prime function is to instill ideals, promote Breed Improvement Schemes and to add further to our goal of breed improvement, and therefore will be used as a tool that the Council can utilise to further educate the fraternity and for breeders to review the state of the breed within their own State on an annual basis. 5.2.2 Primary Objectives of the State Breed Exhibition 5.2.2.1 The event will allow: 5.2.2.2 For a comprehensive evaluation of the breed in each State on an annual basis. 5.2.2.3 Breed direction that compliments the GSDCA Breed Survey Scheme and to give due recognition to animals that are of high anatomical worth, and or have proven that they can produce animals that are far or above average in terms of type and quality. 5.2.2.4 Demonstrate the worth of major bloodlines, and more importantly the predicta-bility when combined. 5.2.2.5 GSDCA Specialist Judges and GSDCA Breed Surveyors an opportunity in addition to viewing Sires progeny parade at the GSDCA Nationals Show & Trial an avenue to as-sess the breed worth of a sire as a group. 5.2.2.6 An opportunity for animals not presented at the GSDCA National Show & Trial Sires Progeny parade to present groups within their State. 5.2.2.7 Further education of the fraternity / exhibitors through the judgments, com-mentary and summations as made by the officiating judges. 5.2.4.3 Open Class: 5.2.4.3.2 Exhibits will: a) be judged with pedigree, with type, quality, family and progeny taken into considera-tion for placing and grading. b) be subjected to a gun test as prescribed in GSDCA Breed Survey Manual. c) be subjected to a one on one temperament test. d) be measured and height and chest depth measurements recorded in critiques.

Judging order as follows: All LSC Bitches followed by LSC Dogs Followed by all SC Bitches followed by all SC Dogs—Veterans Parade will be presented

in the lunch break

Classes Ages as follows:

Baby: 3 months and 1 day under 6 months Minor: 6 months and 1 day under 9 months

Puppy: 9 months and 1 day under 12 months Junior: 12 months and 1 day under 18 months

Intermediate: 18 months and 1 day under 2 years

Critiques in Minor to Open Classes only

There will be no inter sex or inter-class competition

Sires Progeny - Entry is automatic. A minimum of 4 progeny aged 6 months or over entered in Conformation classes. The sire need not be present or entered in the show. This class is non-competitive but will receive a commentary. All LSC are to be included

in the progeny group.

Dams Progeny Entry is automatic. A minimum of 4 progeny aged 6 months or over entered in Conformation classes. The dam need not be present or entered in the show. This class is non-competitive but will receive a commentary. All LSC are to be included

Breeder’s Group Consist of a minimum of 4 progeny aged 6 months or over entered in Conformation

classes and representing at least 2 sires and 2 dams. Notification of intention to com-pete must be received by the Show Secretary by the closing date. Details of animals

competing must be handed to the Show Secretary before commencement of judging

Jenny is an experienced Judge and Breed Surveyor, exhibitor and breeder under the Djenuen prefix.
