With its roots in workshops starting in 1970 Vivace has been helping high school students and directors to develop their performance and leadership skills for decades. The West Chester location is the oldest and most established clinic of its kind. Each year the staff and clinicians are eager to provide each student a superior experience.

Registration & DeadlinesRegistration is available online at

Kutztown Workshop (July 8-11): Registrations received after June 25th subject to late reg fee

West Chester Workshop (July 23-26): Registrations received after July 9th subject to late reg fee

West Chester Leadership Weekend (July 21-22): Registrations received after July 7th subject to late reg fee

Select the Premium Package to combine the Leadership Weekend with West Chester Workshop

Early ArrivalStandard Arrival is 8-9am on the first day of the workshop. An Early Arrival option is available for any participant who needs to arrive early. Early check-in is 7-8 pm July 7 for Kutztown and 7-8 pm July 22 for West Chester.Additional fees do apply; breakfast is included.

Housing and SupervisionStudents stay on campus in air conditioned residence halls. They are taught and supervised by a staff of music professionals aided by college music education major counselors who remain in the residence Halls and are available to the students 24 hours a day.

Instruments and EquipmentWith the exception of front ensemble (pit) percussion, students are required to bring their own instrumentsand equipment (not necessary for the 2 Day Band Leadership Training). Drum Majors do not need instruments but are encouraged to bring a parade mace (marching baton) if they wish.

Directors must bring their own computers with their design and music software.

Complete packing lists are included in the camp confirmation packet.

Group RegistrationsContact the office regarding group registration programs for schools with 5 or more students attending.

Cancellations and RefundsCancellations and refund requests must be made by 10 days prior to the workshop. A cancellation fee of $50 will be charged. Refunds will not be granted to students cancelling within the 10 day deadline.
