We struggled to get parents but that hasn’t stopped us finding a way to get there. Thanks to those adults who were able to help out this time – the kids really appreciate the opportunity to go. We have a lot of happy families at our school and we are really happy when you talk to us about this. And we’re just as interested if you want to tell us things aren’t going well. Pop in and let us know. A couple of our teachers have had some life-changing events in their lives over the last month. Thanks for asking us how they’re going. We’re really lucky that we’ve managed to find some suitable teachers to fill in those gaps while they work through things. We know they’ll be back soon. Jolene Marie Acting Principal How did you show integrity this week? Have you ever been in a situation where you’ve found it difficult to make a decision? Sometimes when there is a grey area decision- making can be tricky because it challenges what we believe in and we don’t know how to proceed. How would you deal with the following situations? You find out a close friend is stealing money. You have a mate who gets angry quickly and hurts others. Maybe you ask yourself some questions: How would I feel if it happened to me? How will my decision affect others? As a whanau talk about how someone with an integrity mindset would proceed in these situations.
