‘SHOWOFFS’ - SUNDAY JUNE 18TH and SUNDAY SEPTEMBER

17TH

SHOW OFF day give our students the chance to rehearse their routines in front of peers and parents. This day is

COMPULSORY for all competitive Dancers and Cheerleaders competing in the upcoming competition. No spectators are

allowed in the Cheer Gym/Dance Studio until your specified Spectator time.

Students in cheer and dance must arrive in their DANCE costume (If in more than one please see the schedule)

$10.00 SHOW OFFS Fee is due before this date.

NO COMPETITION MAKE UP IS NEEDED.

All Hair Must be in a neat high Ponytail. Unless specified otherwise by your coach.

WHAT TO BRING:

- Full drink bottle of Water

- Healthy, lite snacks (No chips or food that can make mess or dirty costumes)

- All items of clothing, Dance/cheer shoes, Costumes, Food and drink bottles MUST BE NAMED!!!!!!!!

COMPETITION DAY

SPECTATORS:

Single, two and family day passes will be available on entry. Competitors comp entry fee (paid) covers students. Please

meet your helper out the front to receive your competitor wrist band.

We need Team representatives to help their team on the day. Please put your name down at reception if you would like to

help.

Students must come Fully ready to competitions with their dance or cheer costume on. Make sure all pieces are named

and bags/jackets stay with a parent or guardian when the student is performing.

WHERE TO GO:

Meet your parent helper at your designated time inside the venue doors. Performers will not be allowed to enter the

stadium until they have a wrist band from the parent helper. One wrist band covers students for the whole weekend. If you

are coming with a sibling or friend you may get your band with them.

Students are to remain with parent/guardians until the scheduled meet coaches time.

Upstage will Aim to sit together as a club! Winterfest – Please go through the second

door into the stadium and straight up the stairs so we can cheer all our teams.

PLEASE NOTE:

- No Jewellery (Includes no earrings) is to be worn while competing. - No Long or fake nails.

- Nail Polish can be worn if Pink and neat! (Cheer only!!!)

- No bright Hair colouring unless specified by coach.

- No hair glitter.

- Leave all valuables at home.

DANCE TEAMS:

Costumes can be picked up from reception as of June 12th. If your costume is not available on this

date you will be able to pick it up on ‘Show off’ day.

Stockings have been ordered by Upstage for each Dance member. $12.00 Per pair. You may pay and

pick up from reception from June 12th. Jazz and contemporary performers will need two pairs of

stockings. Please make sure you have tan underwear underneath or on top of stockings. No coloured

bras or underwear.

Hip hop Do not need any stockings.

Any accounts with outstanding fees, including costume and competition fees, will not be permitted to

pick up costumes or compete until the account is paid. This does not apply to those on Ezi debit with

weekly extras included.

Performers MUST come to Competitions completely ready.

COMPETITION HAIR – CHEER (ALL TEAMS)

1. SLICK BACK HIGH PONY TAIL *NO FLY AWAYS *NO QUIFF

2. TEASE EACH SECTION OF THE PONY TAIL 3. BRUSH OVER THE TOP OF PONYTAIL TO CREATE A NEAT TEASED LOOK. 4. SECURE CHEER BOW WITH BOBBY PINS AND HAIR SPRAY.

COMPETITION HAIR – CONTEMPOARY

SLICK SIDE PONYTAIL 1. PART ON CHILDS LEFT (NOT LOOKING AT THEM) 2. SLICK HAIR FROM LEFT TO RIGHT USING MOOSE, GEL OR HAIR SPRAY. 3. PLACE BOBBY PINS IN TO SECURE HAIR 4. TIE A LOW PONYTAIL CENTERED AT NAPE OF NECK. 5. WRAP A SMALL AMOUNT OF HAIR AROUND THE HAIR TIE AND BOBBY PIN.

COMPETITION HAIR – JAZZ AND HIP HOP

SLICK BACK PONYTAIL

1. USE GEL, HAIRSPRAY OR MOOSE TO SLICK HAIR BACK 2. CREATE A TIGHT, HIGH PONYTAIL AND SECURE WITH HAIR TIE

USING THE SAME COLOURED HAIR TIE AS HAIR. 3. WRAP A SMALL AMOUNT OF HAIR AROUND THE HAIR TIE AND SECURE WITH BOBBY PINS. 4. NO FRINGES/PARTS. 5. HAIR SPRAY

IF WEARING A HAT FOR HIP HOP – LOW PONYTAIL.
