We have done all of the projects using our local budget and donations, and at the same time we have increased our fund balance by 480% and cut our local tax rate five years in a row.

• June & July – Facility condition assessment of district facilities

• July & September – Reports to School Board on condition of facilities

• September & October – Programming meetings with campus principals, athletic director, and agriculture science instructor

• October – Citizens Advisory Committee meeting to review facility conditions

• November – School Board workshop and Citizens Advisory Committee meeting on master-plan options & financial feasibility

• January – Citizens Advisory Committee made recommendation to School Board to call for a bond election

• February – School Board called bond election based on Citizens Advisory Committee facility recommendations

• New Gymnatorium will seat all of BMS or BIS students and serve as a game gym with new locker rooms

Tax Impact on Homeowners

• Chart above reflects an estimated tax increase of $.1975 per $100 valuation

• Over 65 Exemption (if applicable) – Regardless of whether the bond passes or not, school taxes will not go up above the frozen levy amount set at the time the Over 65 Exemption was granted.
