X-RAY REPORTÊÊ In February, Tim attended the rededication cer-emony of Campbell Park Field, a newly reno-vated youth baseball/softball field just a half-mile south of Tropicana Field…he was joined by Rays President Brian Auld, St. Pete Mayor Rick Kriseman and kids from Campbell Park Elementary School…the renovation was fi-nanced by the Rays Baseball Foundation grant program…manual labor was provided by Rays groundskeepers and the City of St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation department.

ÊÊ Tim flew to Houston in February to experience his first Super Bowl, but watched his home-town Atlanta Falcons suffer a crippling loss in overtime.

ÊÊ One of his favorite moments from the Rays trip to Cuba in March 2015 came while exploring Old Havana with a group of teammates…they visited La Floridita, the famous former haunt of Ernest Hemingway and Fidel Castro…he was in-vited behind the crowded bar and got to make daquiris for patrons.

ÊÊ Tim’s older brother, Jeremy, was an infield-er drafted by the Rays the same year, in the 17th round, and played parts of two seasons in the system…Jeremy is the founder of Baseball Genius Academy, and in November, he opened a new facility near their hometown…in addition to baseball instruction and training, they focus on helping their athletes in the classroom with SAT and ACT prep.

ÊÊ Tim is actively involved in the community of his hometown of Griffin, Ga., during the offsea-son…he has hosted youth baseball clinics at

his alma mater, Griffin High School, and treat-ed Salvation Army kids to holiday shopping sprees.
