Meet Julia

Hello! I am a natural-light photographer in Lancaster, Pa, and have owned my business for two years. I have three younger brothers, amazing God-honoring parents, and a golden retriever, Rex.

My name means “youthful and joyful one.” I think my parents chose well, because my goal in life is to savor and live out every second: to the glory of Jesus Christ. I am always dreaming of my next adventure: in traveling, education, sports, devotions, books, or photography. I want to drink life to its fullest.

I love meeting new people and mingling with different cultures. It is my dream to become an overseas missionary. I love childrens’ boisterous laughter, discussing theology, politics, books, science, art, and history, pushing myself in sports, and delighting in nature.

I love light and color.

These two gifts magnify our Creator and lend beauty to the ordinary, radiance to the simple joys, and meaning to memories.

I’m going to be honest: I wish my EYES could be the camera. That I could freeze the fluttering of a bird, the gurgling of an infant, the sparkling of a creek, the glory of a sunset, the joy of love: all in the blink of an eye. That is my goal as a photographer: to capture memories as seamlessly as they happen. As beautifully as they are.

I’m a fan of the little details: they hold exquisite beauty because they reflect God's lavish nature. His overflowing love. Unending faithfulness. Encompassing sovereignty.

I believe that these precious details and memories are meant to be savored and treasured.

That they must be preserved.

My style: I love natural lighting, golden light, and most of all: natural-looking pictures. While I do pose you when necessary, I want your personality and love to be the center of attention. I want to tell your story.

During your couple pictures, this might mean asking you to dance or tell a joke. For your bridal party pictures, it might mean casual, fun interaction while walking.

I try not to be a distraction during your ceremony, and capture the emotional events, dancing, and fun in a natural way.

When you look at your pictures years down the road, I want you to remember the celebration’s love, joy, romance, and laughter.

Before the wedding: While capturing your pictures is what my primary job is, I also seek to give you an experience, from start to finish.

Getting to know each other before the wedding is very important to me. I want to know your story, beliefs, quirks, style, and the things that make you laugh. I want to know what you like and dislike in pictures.

I want you to feel comfortable with me and in front of my camera.

Because after all, I’m going to be with you all day on one of the most important days of your life!

For these reasons, I include a free engagement session in all of my packages. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, ask questions, and tie loose ends.

The wedding day: After hours and hours of planning, your wedding day is finally here. Most of the details have been smoothed out, and you can settle back and enjoy the celebration.

As your photographer, I not only seek to capture the celebration, but to serve you in any capacity. Your ease and joy are my top priority.

Typically, I have a second shooter to assist me with equipment, different angles, and coordination. We take care of all the details.

The Gold Package ($1000)- Includes a one-hour engagement session, eight-hour wedding day coverage, a limited time second shooter, an online photo gallery (PASS) for you and your guests’ convenience, professional editing, full resolution images on a flash drive, and $25 print credit from PASS.

The Silver Package ($875)- Includes a 45-minute engagement session, six-hour wedding day coverage, a limited time second shooter, an online photo gallery (PASS) for you and your guests’ convenience, professional editing, and full resolution images on a flash drive.

The Opal Package ($700)- Includes a 30-minute engagement session, five-hour wedding day coverage, an online photo gallery (PASS) for you and your guests’ convenience, professional editing, and full resolution images on a flash drive.

*All packages are customizable and have the option of a photo book for a fee
