For the 2016 crop year, USDA Farm Service Agency’s certified corn acres planted in Tennessee totaled 815,766 acres. Tennessee planted 13.5 percent more acres of corn in 2016 than 2015’s 718,674 acres. The top 5 counties for corn planted acres in Tennessee were Obion, Gibson, Weakley, Robertson, and Henry. The top 5 counties planted 35 percent of Tennessee’s total corn acres.
