SUSAN DELANEY-SCHEETZ SCHOLAR ATHLETE AWARDSusan Delaney-Scheetz, one of the founders of the American Lacrosse Conference, has devoted her life to women’s lacrosse as a player, coach and administrator. The award is presented annually to the graduating senior with the highest overall grade point average among the student-athletes in the ALC.

2011 KatyWick

DIANE WHIPPLE AWARDPenn State remembers the late Diane Whipple, a two-time All-American and Penn State’s Female Athlete of the Year in 1990, whose life was tragically taken in a dog attack in San Francisco on January 26, 2001. To keep the spirit of Diane Whipple alive, the Penn State women’s lacrosse program created an award in her name in 2001. The Diane Whipple Award is presented annually to the Penn State women’s lacrosse player “who displays a competitive passion for the game, and whose work ethic demonstrates the desire and determination to achieve success.”
