Outdoor YogaDo yoga lakeside at theManitowoc Marina Beach,poolside at the Aquatic Center,and vegetable-side at theFarmers Market with certifiedyoga instructors! Experiencegentle flow yoga, linking thebreath with movement. Be sure todress comfortably, but seasonablyand bring your yoga mat, if youhave one. 5:00 p.m. & 6:30 p.m."Seeing Stars – Planetarium" is aprogram that aims to makeexploration of the night sky easyand fun. The heart of "SeeingStars" is a standard model StarlabPortable Planetarium, an opaqueinflatable dome. In the center ofthe dome, a projector displaysmore than a thousand stars, thesun, and the moon onto the innersurface of the dome. A slideprojector is also used to projectspace images, some direct fromNASA. Paul Kinzer bringsnighttime into day with thisinteractive program, sure toinspire oohs and aahs. Paul leadsgroups of all ages through anorientation outside of the dome,then everyone crawls inside tosee the night sky! Seating islimited. Contact the children'sdesk for details.

Maker-Space activities areheld Mondays June 20 – July 25from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Programsare designed for school agechildren who can workindependently. All children

must be accompanied by a

Camp Vits Mountain Bike TrailThe City’s first public mountain bike trail is located at Camp Vits, 97 SParkview Rd. The trail consists of a two mile beginner loop with threeadvanced sections branching off the beginner loop. Parking is notavailable at Camp Vits or on town roads. Visitors may park on CusterStreet or any other street that allows parking. At the trailhead locatedon Parkview Road, you will find an information kiosk and a bike repairstation. South 14th Street Community GardenIn April of 2015, under direction of Grow It Forward, Inc., a communitygarden was constructed on just under two acres of a South 14th Streetparkland. The organic garden is open to the public and features raisedbeds for rent, a youth garden, an onsite little library, as well as benchesand picnic tables. Disc Golf CoursesThe City of Manitowoc has two full-size disc golf courses. One of thetop-rated courses in Wisconsin is located at Silver Creek Park, 3001 S.10th Street, with 27 challenging holes and is the site of the annualSilver Cup Tournament. The course has multiple concrete tee areas ateach hole to accommodate all skill levels. The signature “LighthouseHole #22” features a basket surrounded by Lake Michigan on threesides and set atop a six-foot lighthouse. Nine additional holes arescheduled to be added in 2016! A donation tube is located near thecourse for those wishing to contribute to improvements for the course.

Abutting the Little Manitowoc River, the course located at Indian Creek Park, 701 Albert Drive, has newconcrete tee areas to complete the 18hole course which uses the terrain and trees on several holes tochallenge players. Maps of both courses can be found online at www.manitowoc.org.

Henry Schuette Park Kayak LaunchWith assistance from the Friends of the Manitowoc River Watershed,funding was obtained from the WI DNR to install an ADA accessiblecanoe and kayak launch at lower Henry Schuette Park to access theManitowoc River. The launch was installed in 2015.

RESERVATION INFORMATION: Book online www.manitowoc.org or call (920) 686-3580. Reservationsare taken online, over the phone with a credit card, or in person up to one year in advance. Rental feesand deposits are due at the time of reservation. Additional fees apply for non-resident and weekendrentals. Cabins and fieldhouses are heated in winter.

Adoptable Areas ProgramThe Adoptable Areas Program was created to give citizens anopportunity to volunteer in the City’s parks and other designated greenspaces. It creates a powerful partnership between the citizens ofManitowoc and the Parks Division. Individuals or groups are encouragedto adopt an area for a period of one year and are expected to complete aminimum of two cleanups and to do monthly walkthroughs.
