Build a Powerful Campaign5 tips on how to deliver your message eff ectively and concisely.

    1 2 3 4 5

When you look at a well-designed ad, there is usually one dominant feature to catch your eye. It could be the headline or the picture. And while it might be tempting to throw in a little starburst, be careful how you use it. When you emphasize everything, you emphasize nothing.

Your computer may come with hundreds of fonts, but that doesn’t mean you have to use them all. The best ad designs stick with one, maybe two fonts. Equally important is the design of text blocks. Avoid small and condensed type and keep your message concise. If readers can’t easily read it, they won’t.

Don’t feel compelled to fi ll every inch of space with copy, images, logos, or specials off ers. A dense blob of type and pictures can look unattractive and turn readers away. An open and airy design is inviting and friendly.

The purpose of images is to help draw attention to your message. That’s not to say that a plumber has to show faucets or that a dentist has to show teeth. Be creative! That plumber could, for instance, show Niagara Falls and that dentist could focus on smiles.

You have aroused the readers’ interest, now you have to let them know whom to buy it from and how. Don’t confuse call-to-action with an oversized name, address and phone number. Give the reader clear instructions on how they can take advantage of your product or service.

Use a dominate headline or image

Limit fonts and make your text easy-to-read

    Remember to leave white space

    Use relevant illustrations and images

Don’t forget your logo and acall-to-action
