Drop-off and Pick-up times—see page 3.
Welcome to Camp Jubilee!
We are pleased to confirm your registration for Halloween Camp 2016. Your adventure begins at Deep Cove in North Vancouver where you will meet our camp staff and fellow campers. After signing in, you will board our water taxi for a 30 minute boat ride up Indian Arm to Camp Jubilee. Our staff has been busy preparing for your arrival and look forward to spending time together experiencing many fun camp activities.
Our Camp Counselors will be signing in campers on the grassy area above the public dock in Deep Cove, North Vancouver. Sign-in begins 45 minutes prior to
boat departure. Pick up your campers on the dock when they return.
Directions to Deep Cove
Go North over the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge. Take the first exit, Eastbound, off the bridge and onto the Dollarton Highway (if you end up on the Mount Seymour Parkway, don’t worry, it goes the same way). Continue East until Dollarton Highway becomes Deep Cove Road and finally turns into Gallant Ave. The Government Dock is right between Deep Cove Canoe & Kayak and Panorama Park. Parking is available at Panorama Park. Please be aware of any posted parking signs.

First Aid & Medication
The Camp Jubilee First Aid Attendant is responsible for First Aid and handing
out of all medication. All medication will be collected and stored in the First Aid
room. Please send all medication in a zip lock bag with clear directions on
their use. Leftover medication will be returned at the end of camp.
Prior to your camper’s arrival, please thoroughly check your child’s head for
lice. Campers live in a cabin environment close to many other campers and it
is very difficult to treat outbreaks of lice. Please be advised that upon arrival
all campers will be checked for lice by Camp Jubilee staff. Campers with
lice infestation will not be able to attend until treated.
Camp Jubilee’s Behaviour Expectation Policy
Please read carefully
Camp Jubilee provides a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. Our staff are trained to
assist campers to have a successful camping experience. In the event that a camper threatens the
safety of security of others or themselves, or exhibits complete disregard of camp rules, the child
may be sent home. To ensure a positive camp experience for campers, parents are required to
provide as much information prior to camp which will assist Camp Leaders with your child.
In addition, the parent/guardian will be responsible for any costs associated with the campers
dismissal for behaviour reasons (i.e. water taxi, bus fare, etc).
The consumption of alcohol, non-prescription drugs and/or smoking is not permitted at any time.
Camp Jubilee has a zero tolerance policy towards bullying and intimidation. If a camper is removed
from camp for behaviour reasons, no refund will be given for any portion of the camp session.
As a result of technology...
We share the concern of many regarding the dangers associated with the internet, from
cyber bullying to inappropriate photos and communications. Please ensure your camper
understands that we will not tolerate or permit any reference to any camper, staff or
Camp Jubilee on the web that is in any way negative or could be construed as negative,
whether it’s a photo, video or text. We expect campers to be respectful in all
communications on the internet (no profanity / inappropriate language) and not use any
website, blog or other internet medium to disparage the camp or its campers. Campers
shall not post any videos taken at camp on any website without Camp Jubilee consent.

HEAT TREATMENT ROOM
At Camp Jubilee we are aware of bed bug concerns and have proactively taken steps to avoid problems.
We have set up a bed bug heat chamber on site to heat treat all belongings of the campers (and the staff) to
prevent any bed bugs sneaking into camp. Please make sure you follow the guidelines below:
Pack your child's camp gear into 2 bags (1 bag should have clothing and “non melt-able” items only. The
second bag should contain all the “melt-able” items such as flashlights, batteries, toothpaste, toiletry products
etc). We do not consider plastic items to be melt-able.
We thank you for in advance for helping us in preventing any outbreaks.
