The indoor 200 meter hydraulically banked track designed by Mondo is only one of six in the United States and one of eight in the world. Mondo has designed the tracks for the last ten Olympic Games and is the global leader in the sports flooring market. With the touch of a button the state of the art six lane oval track takes just ten minutes to raise or lower for banked corners. Once raised it becomes one of the fastest indoor tracks in the worldWhen run-ning at the CrossPlex youre taking on history with every stride.
All track and field components meet IAAF, NCAA and NFHS stan-dards. There are eight-60 meter lanes (for dashes and hurdles) lo-cated within the infield area of the track with dual horizontal run-ways for pole vault, long jump and triple jump. Additionally, dual high jump approaches can be configured along with dual throwing sectors for shot-put located outside the oval next to the imple-ment/weigh in station. Portable weight throw sector and net meets IAAF and NCAA specifications.
Lynx timing and scoring system syncs to a 60x25 Daktronics LED Board located at the North end of the track. The board is designed to show instant results, team scores, event leaders, video com-mercials and messages all at the same time. The surround sound speakers provide pristine sound for announcements and video.
Elevated seating gives the spectator great views of the track as well as seven VIP suites that overlook the venue.
Since opening in 2011, the track has hosted over 250 events and continues to grow with each year. The CrossPlex has hosted a va-riety of track events that include youth meets, high school state championships, regional and national club level championships, collegiate invitations, college conference championships, NCAA qualifying events and two NCAA Division II National Champion-ships.
The CrossPlex track is a venue like no other. Built for speed and success, it is where records are broken.
Warm Up Room
Housing four-60 meter lanes, the warm up area includes run out and stretching room. This area is equipped with speakers to allow the athlete to hear what races are being run on the track. Hurdles can be placed in this area to allow hurdlers to warm up before their event. The athletes also have access to locker rooms with showers, lockers and stretching areas. A dedicated trainers room is avail-able for athletes who need taping, icing or heat pad use. The warm up room is connected with a walkway to the track to allow athletes easy access back and forth.
Media and Operations Area
The press box is designed to accommodate TV, print and electronic media representatives. There are individual work stations allowing for up to 20 people with individual wireless, Ethernet plug in, TV monitors, speakers and copy machine.
The timing box is located next to the press box and is designed for use by the timing team and PA announcing staff.
Broadcast Box
There is an open seating area dedicated to broadcast live events. The box is capable of holding four announcers and camera equip-ment and is located on the event operations floor overlooking the
track. Additionally, the CrossPlex is designed and equipped to work with media and sports programming outlets.

In the course of its first two seasons, the American Athletic Conference has taken a place at the fore-front of intercollegiate ath-letics, earning a collection of national team and indi-vidual championships and football postseason wins that place The American among the elite Division I conferences.
The American consists of 12 prestigious institutions: the University of Central Florida, the University of
Cincinnati, East Carolina University, the University of Connecticut, the University of Houston, the University of Memphis, the U.S. Naval Academy (in football only), the University of South Florida, Southern Methodist University, Temple University, Tulane University and the University of Tulsa.
Under the leadership of commissioner Mike Aresco, the American Athletic Conference has writ-ten an impressive list of accomplishments, both in and out of the competitive arena.
The league has produced three NCAA champi-onship teams UConn mens basketball in 2014 and UConn womens basketball in 2014 and 2015 and two individuals who have won NCAA titles, most recently SMUs Bryson Dechambeau, who was the 2015 national champion in mens golf. Additionally, American Athletic Conference teams have advanced to the College World Series, the semifinal and final rounds of the NIT and the match play round of the NCAA Mens Golf Championship. Half of the conferences baseball-playing members reached the NCAA Championship in 2015, while The American had the best mens basketball postseason record of any conference in 2014, when conference teams were a combined 13-4. Teams from The American have registered top-10 national rankings in football, mens basketball, womens basketball, baseball, mens soccer and mens golf.
The American is quickly making its mark in profes-sional sports as well, beginning with the selection of UCF quarterback Blake Bortles by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the No. 3 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
More recently, a number of American Athletic
Conference athletes have been selected in the first round of the professional entry drafts in football, basketball, baseball and soccer. UConns Cyle Larin was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 Major League Soccer SuperDraft as he was chosen by Orlando City SC. UCFs Romario Williams was taken by the Montreal Impact at No. 3, giving The American two of the top three picks in the draft. UConns Sergio Campbell went at No. 19 to the Columbus Crew as the third pick from the conference in the first round.
In the 2015 NFL Draft, UCFs Breshad Perriman and UConns Byron Jones were selected consecutively in the first round Perriman to the Baltimore Ravens at No. 26 overall and Jones to the Dallas Cowboys at No. 27. It was the second straight year in which The American had at least two first-round selections.
UConns Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis was selected by the Seattle Storm with the No. 3 pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft, while UConns Kiah Stokes went 11th overall to the New York Liberty.
Cincinnati outfielder Ian Happ, the 2015 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, was chosen by the Chicago Cubs with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft.
In football, two American Athletic Conference football teams were ranked in the top 15 of the final 2013 Associated Press poll, while Memphis finished the season in the top 25 of the 2014 polls as Tigers tied UCF and Cincinnati for the conference title. Six of the 12 teams that compete in The American in 2015 played in bowl games to cap the 2014 season as Memphis, Houston and Navy earned postseason victories.
Teams in The American have enjoyed almost unprecedented success since the conferences for-mation. Memphis finished with 10 wins in football for the first time since 1938. SMU advanced to the NCAA Mens Basketball Championship for the first time since 1993. UCF and Houston have both achieved top-10 rankings in baseball in the past two years. USF finished the 2014-15 season at No. 8 in the final mens golf national ranking. The UConn womens basketball team won its NCAA-record ninth and 10th national championships as a member of The American.
The American Athletic Conference holds media rights partnerships with ESPN and CBS Sports which give the conference outstanding national exposure on the two industry leaders in sports tele-
vision. The football portion of the contract calls for nearly 90 percent of conference-controlled games on national broadcast or national cable platforms. The first American Athletic Conference Football Championship, which will be played Dec. 5, 2015, will be carried on either ABC or ESPN on Championship Saturday.
In mens basketball, the television deal calls for all conference-controlled games to be televised, with more than 63 percent slotted for national broadcast or national cable a minimum of 107 games. The entire postseason tournament will be televised, including the championship game, which will be on ABC or ESPN. Sixty percent of the Americans wom-ens basketball games will be carried on national cable, regional sports networks or ESPN3, while the conference has a multi-year agreement with CBS Sports Network for coverage of select baseball games.
American Athletic Conference teams have access to the pinnacle of college footballs postseason structure. An American representative would be chosen for the College Football Playoff semifinals if it is among the top four teams in the CFP selection committees final ranking. Otherwise, the league would place its champion in either the Vizio Fiesta Bowl or the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl if it is ranked higher than the champions of Conference USA, the Mid-American Conference, the Mountain West Conference and the Sun Belt Conference.
Additionally, The American holds primary or sec-ondary partnerships with 12 bowls for the current six-year cycle, ensuring multiple annual matchups against the nations top conferences and providing desirable postseason destinations to member insti-tutions and their fans.
The American Athletic Conference administers to its membership from a state-of-the-art office locat-ed in Providence, R.I. The location of the conference headquarters just steps from the citys Amtrak station and 10 minute from T.F. Green Airport gives the conference easy access to its member-schools. The conference headquarters is equipped with a complete video production studio, serving as the home of the American Digital Network, and small- and large-scale meeting rooms to accom-modate the many coaches and administrators meetings held on-site each year.
