BFL-Mastix waterstops type R4 consist of: - a bitumen/rubberlike core - a special, non alkali-reactiv fine crushed gravel of 4/8 mm, during the production solidly pressed on the core material.

The gravel covered surface of the BFL-Mastix bands offers a rough interface, assuring a homogeneous and watertight connection with the fresh concrete.

BFL-Mastix waterstops type R4 are used for waterproofing construction joints in concrete structures.

Six different profiles exist in the BFL-Mastix line R4 and are available in stock.Profiles 20/70 R4 and 30/40 R4 are mostly used in the building sector.

The profile 20/120 R4 is used in raft constructions.

Profiles 30/40 R4, 40/50 R4, 40/70 R4 and 40/100 R4 are used in civil works.

The bands 20/120 R4 are placed on the lean concrete of the following raft.

All other bands are placed into the fresh concrete of a concreting stage.

A connection between bands is made with a propane gas burner.

BFL-Mastix water stops type R4 placed in the concrete of a raft, do not fear rain, snow or frost.

In case of very intense sunshine, the bands should be kept wet.

Seven different profiles exist in the BFL-Mastix line R and are available in stock.The profiles 15/30 R, 20/40 R, 20/70 R, 30/40 R, 40/70 R, 40/100 R are used for building structures as well as for civil works.

The profile 20/120 R is used for raft constructions.

The waterstops 20/120 R are glued on the lean concrete of the raft.

All other bands are glued on the hard concrete of a concreting stage.

Connection between bands is made with a small propane gas burner or with glue.

As soon as the waterstops BFL-Mastix type R are glued on the raft concrete, they don’t fear neither rain nor snow or ice.

In case of strong sunshine, the vertically glued bands must be sprinkled with water.

BFL-Mastix waterstops type R4 ½ D consist of: - a bitumen/rubber like core - a special, non alkali-reactiv fine crushed gravel of 4/8 mm, during the production solidly pressed on half the perimeter of the core material. -The side without gravel will be used for gluing the band on hard concrete. - An elastic reserve for absorbing the retreat movement of the concrete.

The gravel covered surface of the BFL-Mastix bands offers a rough interface, assuring a homogeneous and watertight connection with the fresh concrete.

Bands of type R4 ½ D are used in the presence of filtering water, of rain or a spring.

In the presence of pressure water, the technical service of Mastix Corp. should be consulted.

The BFL-Mastix band type R4 ½ D is glued on hard concrete of concreting stages.

The connection between bands is done by gluing.

Bands R4 ½ D, once glued on their support, are resistant against rain, snow or frost.

In case of very intense sunshine, vertically glued bands should be kept wet and if necessary protected from sliding.

For protecting the elastic reserve, it is recommended to apply on both band sides a cordlike strip of glue.

BFL-Mastix waterstops type R4 ½ D are used for waterproofing retreat and settlement joints in concrete structures.

BFL-Mastix waterstops type RGD consist of : - a bitumen/rubberlike core - a special, non alkali-reactiv fine crushed gravel of 4/8 mm, during the production solidly pressed on half the height of two adjacent sides of the core material. - The two adjacent sides without gravel on the core will be used for gluing the band on hard concrete. - An elastic reserve is created by the two adjacent gravel-free sides for absorbing retreat and settlement movements.
