Blood Donation Camp The blood donation camp was organized by Post Graduate Department of Chemistry and Research Center, AISC, Pune on Wednesday, 31st August 2016, at L1 Hall, Second Floor, Library Building, Abeda Inamdar Senior College, with the help of Red Plus Blood Bank, Bhosari, Pune. It began at 10:00 am and continued till 04:00 pm, with a steady stream of donors throughout. The L1 hall was abuzz with college students and staff chatting with each other, happy to be able to play their part in lending a helping hand to people in the region. L1 hall was utilized for medical check-up of potential donors, as well as the donation itself. They were provided with glucose water and food including tea, coffee, biscuits and banana. It was great to see more people than pre-registration numbers turning up at the venue. This stretched the capacity of the blood bank, as a result of which the contact details of the donors were taken so as to allow them to donate at the earliest to the blood bank. The blood bank asked for 40 units. Blood bank got 25% more volunteer than their expected numbers and the collection tallied to 51 units.

Academic Year 2015-16

As a part of celebration of 25 Years of Excellence, Post Graduate Department of Chemistry and Research Center had organized a Blood Donation Camp in association with Aacharya Anandrishiji Blood Bank, Pune, on 27th October 2015 at 10:30 am to 03:30 pm. Many students from different departments of our college had visited the camp and 21 students donated their blood on this occasion.

Academic Year 2014-15

The department of Chemistry, Students Welfare Association and Acharya Anandrishiji Pune Blood Bank organized a Blood Donation Camp on 28th January 2015. All the institutes in the Azam campus were informed about the date and schedule of the camp. Banner and pamphlets were displayed in the campus in advance to create awareness about the blood donation. A multi-lingual slide show was prepared and run on the day of blood donation.

The response of the students was very encouraging. Many girl students also came forward to donate blood. All the approved procedures were followed by the bank staff for the collection of blood. The donors were given certificate of appreciation and a small gift. 51 bags were collected during this camp. The blood bank gave a certificate of appreciation to the department of Chemistry and Students Welfare Association.

2015-2016

Blood Donation Camp A Blood Donation camp was organized by the NSS Unit of Abeda Inamdar Senior College. The

camp was arranged for Akshay blood bank, Hadapsar on 22nd August, 2016 from 9:00am- 3 pm

in L-1 room (E-library Building ,2nd floor)

Akshay blood bank,Hadapsar was established in 1998 and has its branches in

various parts of Maharashtra like Solapur , Satara , Miraj and has 25 blood storage centers in 25

taluka places of above district.

Students Participation Blood Donation Camp.

Only those people with weight above 40 kgs and Haemoglobin above 12.5 g% were

allowed to donate blood.A total of 31 donors from our own as well as colleges within the Azam

campus donated blood voluntarily. The donors were given coffee , biscuit and banana after

the blood donation by the blood bank.

The donation Camp was Inaugurated by Dr Shaila Bootwala,Vice- Principal, AISC

followed by a short welcome . Akshay blood bank gave a Certificate to our college as well as

donors certificate, coupons and blood group card to all donors.Mr. Divekar, President, Lions club

, Pune Galaxy graced the Occasion. The Lions club also gave surprise gifts to all donors in order

to appreciate their efforts for such a social cause.The Blood donation Camp was a success.

Blood Donation Camp

Blood Donation camp was organized By NSS Unit of Abeda Inamdar Senior College on

28th Aug 2014 from 9:00am – 3.00pm in L-1 room (E-library Building, 2nd floor)

Acharya Anandrishiji Pune blood bank, Pune, was involved in collection of blood. A total

of 09 technical staff including Dr Vijay Fadtare and Mr. Yogesh Burunde (Medical social worker

) had visited our college .Only those people with weight above 40 kgs and Hemoglobin above

12.5 g% were allowed to donate blood. A total of 53 donors from our own as well as colleges

within the Azam campus donated blood voluntarily. The donors were given coffee, biscuit and

banana after the blood donation by the blood bank.

The donation Camp was inaugurated by Dr Shaila Bootwala , Vice-Principal.Acharya

Anandrishiji Pune blood bank, gave a Certificate to our college as well as donor’s certificate,

coupons and blood group card to all donors .Mr. Divekar, President, Lions Club, Pune Galaxy

presented a memento to NSS Unit of our college. The Lions club also gave surprise gifts to all

donors in order to appreciate their efforts for such a social cause. The Blood donation Camp was

a grand success.

Blood Donation Camp

After the Inauguration & Orientation of NSS, Blood Donation camp was organized as the first activity of NSS. The camp was arranged for Akshay blood bank, Hadapsar on 29th Aug 2013 from 9:00am – 3.00pm in L-1 room (E-library Building, 2nd floor) Akshay blood bank, Hadapsar was established in 1998 and has its branches in various parts of Maharashtra like Sholapur, Satara, and Miraj and has 25 blood storage centers in 25 taluka places of above district. A total of 11 technical staff including Dr Vijay Fadtare and Mr. Yogesh Burunde (Medical social worker ) had visited our college .Only those people with weight above 40 kgs and Hemoglobin above 12.5 g% were allowed to donate blood. A total of 80 donors from our own as well as colleges within the Azam campus donated blood voluntarily. The donors were given coffee, biscuit and banana after the blood donation by the blood bank. The donation Camp was inaugurated by Dr E.M.Khan , Principal;

AISC followed by a short welcome by Prof Nusarat Shaikh, Programme officer, NSS. All the blood bank staff were felicitated with a rose bud at the hands of Dr E.M.Khan. Akshay blood bank gave a Certificate to our college as well as donor’s certificate, coupons and blood group card to all donors .Mr. Divekar, President, Lions Club, Pune Galaxy presented a memento to NSS Unit of our college. The Lions club also gave surprise gifts to all donors in order to appreciate their efforts for such a social cause. The Blood donation Camp was a grand success.
