Logis8cs:  •  UCAR  Guest  wireless  •  Science  lectures  in  the  morning  (MSR).  •  Prac8cal  lectures  (MSR)  and  labs  (Damon  Room  

and  Library)  in  the  aRernoon.  Friday  is  an  excep8on.  

•  Work  in  pairs  during  lab  sessions.  Switch  off  who  types  each  day.  

•  Lab  exercises  are  online  and  presenta8ons  will  be  posted  as  they  come  available.  

•  You  will  be  using  a  special  tutorial  code  base  with  special  dedicated  nodes  on  yellowstone.    

•  Breakfast  at  hotel    •  Snack  and  tea/coffee  at  15  min  morning  break.  •  30  min  aRernoon  break  scheduled  during  the  lab  

sessions.  It  is  up  to  you  when  you  take  it.    •  Lunch  in  cafeteria  (Cash  only,  ATM  outside  entrance)  •  Dinner  on  your  own  •  Recep8on  5-­‐6:30  pm  Monday,  buses  at  6:30pm  (find  

the  sign-­‐up  sheets  to  facilitate  mee8ng  fellow  students  within  your  area  of  interest)  

•  Tues-­‐Thurs  buses  leave  at  5:10pm,  Fri  bus  leaves  at  3:30

•  Fill  out  the  Tutorial  Survey  

•  If  you  need  to  use  the  tutorial  code  base,  you  will  need  to  make  a  couple  minor  modifica8ons.  It  is  best  to  use  the  standard  release.  You  will  learn  how  to  do  make  these  modifica8ons  this  week!  

 

What  to  do  outside  of  the  Tutorial:  

•  Take  a  hike    -­‐-­‐  Great  hiking  trails  outside  NCAR.  See  City  of  Boulder:  Open  Space  and  Mountain  Parks  website  

•  Rent  a  bike  (Boulder  B  Cycles)    •  Take  the  Mesa  Lab  noon  tour  •  Visit  Pearl  Street  Mall    in  downtown  Boulder  •  Check  out  Art  Galleries/BMoCA  in  downtown  Boulder  •  Visit  Rocky  Mountain  Na8onal  Park  (~1hr  away)  •  Check  out  University  of  Colorado  campus    •  Lots  of  awesome  restaurants  and  cafes  •  Good  local  bus  system  (RTD)
