• No longer need this for professional growth• I am not looking for these certifications to further my

professional growth.

Professional growth will come with the experience you get from implementing what you have learned.

There are 26 credentials which exceed 15,000 level of effort hours and 18 credentials which EXCEED the level of effort it takes to earn an ABET Professional Engineer (PE) license.

This yields an impressive 26/66 or 39% of certifications available for project professionals which require >15,000 level of effort hours and which can be considered to be legitimate “professional” level credentials.

To summarize this article is proposing three “actionable items” for 2015:

1) all ENTRY level credentials to require a minimum of 5500 hours level of effort;

2) all Intermediate level credentials to require a minimum of 10,000 ~ 15,000 hours of documented and validated effort;

3) all legitimate PROFESSIONAL level credentials to require a minimum of 15,000 hours of documented and validated effort;

5. Tip for PMI Certification

PMI 자격증을 준비하시는 분들에게 추천하고 싶은 방법은 아래와 같습니다.

1) Read several times for “Examination Content Outline”

2) Read Standard for each credential at least 7~10 times** DO NOT MEMORISE ANY CONTENTS **

3) Read academic reference as recommended (If you have time)

4) Understand the PMIsm본인이 실무에서 사용했던/활용했던 방법(Tools & Technique)이 실제 PMI문제와상충될 수 있으므로 반드시 PMISM의 관점에서 생각해야 합니다. 여기서, PMI에서이 야 기 하 는 PMISM 이 란 , 여 러 가 정 , 전 제 조 건 하 에 PMBOK 를 지 침 삼 아 서프로젝트관리를 수행하면 더 잘할 수 있다는 것입니다.

Principles: PRINCE2 says that each project should consist of the 7 PRINCE2 principles (in other words, “best practices”).

Themes: Themes answer the question regarding what items must be continually addressed during each project, e.g., Business Case, Organization, Quality and Configuration Management.

Processes: Processes answer the question regarding what activities are done during the project and by whom. Processes also answers “What products are to be created and when?”

Tailoring: Tailoring answers one of the most common questions from a Project Manager, “How do I best apply PRINCE2 to my project or my environment?”
