Smart Futures is a collaborative government-industry-education programme promoting STEM careers to post-
primary students in Ireland. It provides access to careers information and role models to students, parents, guidance
councillors and teachers.

Programme updates
Volunteer programme • 524 STEM volunteers trained in 2014 • 237 career talks delivered in schools • 26k students engaged • (54k post-primary students engaged 2013-2014) SciFest & Science Week 2014 • 12 STEM careers roadshows across 9 IoT’s • 6 partners including CPL, Abbott and Teagasc Outreach 2015 IGC Conference, Higher Options, BT Young Scientist, TY EXPO (new), iWish and regional school-based career events.
