If you have authored books or reports you may have an ISNI

ISNI => ORCID

Background ISNI and ORCID

ISNI is for the creative industry (people associated with books, music, TV shows, whatever)

International Standard Name Identifier ORCID is an ISNI (4x4 digits, ORCID has a reserved range)

but: ISNI and ORCID registries are maintained by different

organisations, so: one person can have both an ISNI and an ORCID

But one ISNI or ORCID can not have more than one person attached to it
