The Essentials:

• List of Officers• At least: President, Treasurer, Service VP, Membership VP, Pledge

Educator(s)• Preferably: everyone!• Add items like pictures, fun facts, and contact emails

• Photo Gallery• Showcase photos of brothers doing service, enjoying fellowships, and at

leadership oriented events• Highlight your chapter's signature events and traditions

• Recruitment Information• List of all recruitment events + days/times/locations• Other pertinent info for potential new members (essay

requirements, mandatory meetings, etc.)• Extra-easy method of contacting the VP of Membership or a Pledge

Educator with questions• Have a brochure, written “elevator speech”, or other recruitment

materials online for potential new members to view• Reasons to join Alpha Phi Omega• What the New Member Experience will be like

• If not possible, use an image with the site's logo in your website as opposed to text.

• Example sites: • Rounded corner buttons in sidebar• Embedded tweets • Links at bottom of page• Dedicate a page to social media

Ideas for Creative Content:

• Feature a Quote of the Week & Brother of the Week• Post brother testimonials about joining APO• Have a slideshow of recent photos on the homepage• Post a contact form• Embed chapter videos• Add graphics – like the torch or the APO logo!• Feature the service sites you work with• Integrate a Google Calendar of public events• Have a members-only page• Customize your website’s appearance

Odds and Ends

General tips for success.

Odds and Ends:

• Make sure that you have at least 2 officers with access to the website, in case of emergency.

• Listen to what brothers and pledges want to see - feedback and constant improvements are critical!

• Try to redesign your website at least once every two years, possibly more often to keep up with new features and trends.

• If possible, have a custom logo for your chapter to use on your website + all of your social media sites!
