nt Our revolutionary “Mutant” 4-batten ultra compact

wave sail has proven itself over the past couple seasons as the dominant tool for both top level wave competition and any dedicated wave sailors that demand the most progressive performance and agility on the wave together with excellent drive, power and wind range.

For 2015 we have focused on expanding upper wind range and making the sails feel even lighter in the hands. Outline adjustments with reduced mid leech roach and a little more shape down low have helped expand upper wind range, improve forward drive and make the sails feel even lighter in the hands. In terms of construction we use a combination of our most sophisticated Technora and Metallic scrim laminates optimizing the properties of each through load oriented panel layouts. The oriented low stretch Technora mid body panel helps to carry diagonal twist loads and further stabilizes the sail, improving wind range.

The Mutants game changing combination of extreme maneuverability combined with power, smoothness and excellent drive, make it a lethal weapon for tearing huge gauges in the lip or blasting powerful wave 360’s. As the popularity of the Mutant continues to increase, it has become our top selling wave line and in response to customer and rider demand we have expanded the size range to allow individuals to fine tune their quivers with the addition of 4.8 and 5.3 sizes.

The “Legend” returns as the classic 5 batten, “do it all” down the line wave sail giving great range and a more neutral feel in a variety of wave and high wind conditions. The 2015 Legend is built tough and light with a progressive weight panel layout incorporating our new light weight metallic scrim laminate used in combination with our gradient X-ply and heavy duty 5 mil x-ply for the optimum combination of durability and light weight. The addition of the metallic scrim laminate in the mid-upper sail body also improves sail twist flex response and gives a more responsive feel.

For 2015 we went full throttle, no compromise on the new Ghost CS building a production sail that is built like the most sophisticated custom sail imaginable. By eliminating any unnecessary seams and maximizing use of the most technical, ultra light and strong Technora scrim available, the Ghost is simply the most refined performance wave sail available. Super light and perfectly balanced through a huge wind range are the best ways to describe the Ghost CS experience.

An exciting new development for 2015 is MauiSails brand new 3 batten “EPIC” wave sail. The EPIC provides a pure wave riding experience and radical performance. By using our characteristic full vertical luff panel construction and refined seam shaping techniques the Epic stays nicely balanced and tensioned throughout a large wind range.

Material layout has been carefully planned out and oriented to balance the loads perfectly giving additional support to the 3 batten skeleton. Heavier duty X-ply is oriented to support diagonal twist loads while our light weight Metallic scrim in the leech and upper sail body gives the sail light weight and instant response.

The Epic is a super-quick, agile and responsive sail with a medium-neutral feel and moderate drive. It excels at combing outstanding surfing performance with quick sail handling for new school wave trickery.

The “Global” quenches the thirst of the power wave sail crowd and for 2015 benefits from material improvements, using a combination of lightweight metallic scrim and gradient X-ply in the upper sail body. Working closely with testing feedback from Taty Frans, we have continued to evolve and improve our dedicated freestyle sail, the Loco Pro. For 2015 we have further reduced weight and increased power down low while improving release in the upper sail body for lighter handling. With a moderate, high aspect ratio and 4 battens from 5.6 and down, the Loco is very quick in modern freestyle maneuvers.

The high cut foot and tighter leech make ducking effortless. Acceleration is instantaneous propelling you from one maneuver to the next and inspiring you to do more. Vertical luff panel construction incorporating our characteristic forward Dacron luff panel has been a legacy of MauiSails, long before the others started “discovering” it.

The 2015 Loco Pro is evolved from the greatest Legacy of wave and freestyle designs to the most cutting edge dedicated tool available.

The Switches 6 batten RAF design combines blazing freeride speed, with some bump and jump trickability making it quite versatile. For 2015 The Switch borrows some material Technology from the TR-X, using the light weight metallic scrim in the upper sail body. For blasting past your buddies or jumping over them, the Switch excels.
