STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIPS BRING SUPERIOR OPERATIONS AND SERVICE
• BNSF is Schneider’s rail partner in the west and CSX is our partner in the east.
– Both railroads provide on-site support and seamless communication for Schneider
– Integrated relationships allow for long-term planning and an improved service offering
• Secondary relationships exist with the Canadian National and Kansas City Southern
– CN supports direct intermodal service into Canada– KCS supports both Buckeye Connection from
Kansas City, and Mexico Direct cross border service

Intermodal chassis: When a container is taken off of the train, it is placed on a chassis, which is used to move it on the street. It usually stays on that chassis until it returns to the rail ramp with another load. Schneider National is responsible for returning the chassis to the same ramp from
which it came, or an acceptable near-by ramp.
